Efforts like this might keep the entire state from eventually turning into an unbroken network of dingy strip malls and cardboard (Tyvek wonder) townhouses.

All we need, another reminder of slavery, should be plowed up and turned into a gulf course or somethin.

It is a reminder of much more than slavery. Brave men fought on both sides and it is an important part of American history.

Its a stain on humanity, we have enough monuments to human folly without making another one.

It is not a reminder of slavery . It is a reminder on how this country became great by learning from its mistakes and honoring those men who sacrificed their life so your country can be better off for it. You should praise any reminder of the civil war and be thankfull you were not there to live it.
