Sara was parked! Brian Inarelli ran off the road and killed Sara.

thats a little harsh..... how about an accident happened and sara and brian both passed away.... two good people both with families and anyone can read this so a little sympathy for the FAMILIES would be nice since it was not just one family that lost someone but two!

Sara was not only parked but she was parked in her driveway. When Brian Inarelli ran off the road and killed her, leaving her 7 year old son without his single mom. And if that is not bad enough, her family had not been able to find out why the guy ran off the road. I mean shouldn't this kind of thing be public record.

re: tucker
a little harsh....Sara didn't pass away...she
was killed...Brian Iannarelli made all the choices
that day to drive under whatever condition he was
in...he wasn't even wearing his seatbelt...5 months
later were still waiting for the tox report...Sorry, for the other family...Brian's actions still killed my daughter Sara.....

How about it was a accident. Not only was Brian a good family man, he had kids and a wife of his own. Not to mention he was on his way to work to support his family and kids. The fact that he wasnt wearing his seatbelt is irrelavant, its the law but its his choice to wear his seatbelt or not. You can not go pointing fingers when you dont know, just because you have not got toxicology results back does not mean he was in the wrong or was under the influence of anything.

re: Tara
Yes it was a accident, but the facts are still the
facts. Brian was still negligent by choosing to
drive that morning being tired or whatever. My
daughter Sara was also on her way to work to support her son. She was parked on her own driveway
when she was hit and killed by Brian. He was in
the wrong no matter what you say, I do know that.
You say he was a good family man....maybe so.
I only know him as the man who killed my daughter

John, I agree with you fully. I heard about this accident last year and it was shocking. I know that stretch of Rt. 29 well.

Every accident has an "at fault" party...regardless of whether that party survived or not.

If your vehicle leaves the roadway that is considered "failure to control vehicle" and is a citable traffic offense in Virginia.

A vehicle leaving the roadway and causing a traffic accident is 100% at fault. If he had survived it would have been a involuntary manslaughter case. I sympathize with both families but the true victim is the one not responsible.

Re: Jay
Thanks Jay, It seemed that nobody from the other
side wanted to accept the fact that Brian accually
did kill Sara, and was at fault...I still wish we
had the tox results...would go a long way to helping my family have closure...

You know, i was friends with both, i have known brian for a long time we went to school and graduated together he was a great friend, husband and father to katrina and the boys, accidents happen and yes sometimes fatalities happen, brian was not on anything when he died, its not fair to blame a person for someone elses death....the accident was for a reason and 2 great people were lost, i am sure neither party would want family or friends causing such a stir up, tom marks the 1 year anniversary tha they were takin... it should be a time to let things go and accept that it may never get closeure for the lose of sara...both fanmilies are morning and putting on here hurtful things wont change what happened or make either of them come back...all you are doin is hurting other people tha do not deserve to be u want ur grandson to see this when he gets older and ask why u were being mean...ur suppose to teach what u preach...and tha is forgiveness....not haterid and whatever. brian left behing a wife that is now a single mom...and 2 little boys tha one was only days old when daddy died and i think it is wrong what you are sayin and doing

Thank you Jennifer!!!! I am in total shock as to how people deal with their sadness. Brian was my cousin. No one cares to know that Brian was going back to work after his baby was only 3 days old. Knowing what made him go off the road will not bring either one of them back. October 2 2009 will forever be a sad day for ma and my family as well as Saras. Let's remember the good things. I would hate for Brian and 0saras kids to google their names when they get older and read all this. I understand everyones sad but pionting fingers isn't going to bring anyone back. Everything happens for a reason. We may never know why these two great people were taken away from us so soon.

When I read the original article, I was appalled
that they would print an article without knowing
the facts, thus my first comment. Since then I
have only responded to the comments of others.
I have reread my comments and don't see them as
being mean, and that was never my intent. I have
only stated the facts, some of which may in fact
be hurtfull and I am sorry for that, but they are
still the facts. I know it has been a tough year
for all, my family has been devistated. I am only
a father who has lost a child, who knows how Sara
died but would like to know why, thus my quest for
the tox report, any parent would want to know this.
I would also like to someday explain this to my
grandson. I have stated before that I am sorry for
Brian's family and I truly am. I have tried to
forgive Brian, and have asked God to help, I'm
not there yet, but I am trying...

The tox reports are not going to give you any answers. He was clean, that is all there is to it.brian was not that kind of guy.I know because brian is my brother-in-law. God wanted your daughter and brian home with him. Thats what you need to tell your grandson.Tell him that she is in a much better place and soon again one day he will get to be with her. Not show him hate and how to blame other people because you dont have the answers you are looking for.None of us have them and we never will. Nothing that any report or police officer is going to tell you will bring sarah or brian back and it is hard to accept that, but the truth is, they dont know what happened either. Its hard to go on not knowing what happened, but with this accident:an undesirable or unfortunate happening that occurs unintentionally and usually results in harm, injury, damage, or loss; casualty; mishap;any event that happens unexpectedly, without a deliberate plan or cause(no one is to blame), we will never have those anwers we are looking for. We just have to trust God that he made the right choice and we have to accept his plan.Yesterday brian's son told me that his heart is for his daddy. What he meant by that was he loves his daddy and that he always will. brian will always be in our hearts along with sarah. I know this is your choice but, I think it is time to stop commenting to these people. It is only bringing hurt and anger to both families. God has a plan.

Accidents happen. There IS NOT always someone or something to blame. It's called life.

'Closure' is an overused, meaningless WORD. The feeling just doesn't exist! You can think knowing this or that might make you feel better, but why suffer that expectation? You could as easily get details which only adds to your pain.

Hurting HURTS! The pain from losing a love will be with you FOREVER, as another life experience. As time goes by, it might be less painful to recall the person or the loss, but it will still hurt and there will be times when you simply break down and cry - as if it just happened.

No matter how long we live, there are millions of things in this life we will never know or fully understand. This is one of them. This will be part of your life experience and it's your job to do well with it in order to live your life fully, to the best benefit of all others you love and who love you. Try to have faith that you know enough, to accept what is done is done.

This much I know without doubt, from having lost too many loves ...

If this statement were true...the terms "Negligence" and "Manslaughter" would not exist.

I agree with you on all other points though.

Yeah, well, you're right for pointing that out. Thank you, BUT you know those terms are legal-ease WE have added AS IF it makes an accident any better to have someone to charge or sue. Thanks again ...

When I read the article in the paper I was hurt, it left people to surmise what happened. Sara was 17 feet from the roadway, on her driveway at the mailboxes.I have been there to that exact spot. I cried as I began to image the horror that she must have felt, watching the headlights coming towards her. Brian left the road 70 feet in front of Sara. The impact so hard, she was gone. Had he been wearing his seatbelt, maybe the jolt of leaving the road may have made him able to steer back onto the road away from Sara.Darren her young son has suffered the Greatest Loss of All,His mother, his best friend, His Nurse. At 7 she was his world. You're the Inspiration the song by Chicago was their song. The words so perfect for them. He asks questions now and I am sure he will want to know. What was the condition of the driver that hit his mother? This I feel is his right to know.I don't think it is right for everyone to surmise, when there is an answer to this.

In the official police report it states that the vehicle that was traveling on Rt. 29, left the roadway and struck (Sara's) vehicle which was stationary. The media didn't go into this much detail when they reported this accident which IMHO is a disservice to those affected by this tragedy. People want to know WHY it happened...
