well i have the answers for you 1 he didnt have a gun 2 he did have a job was getting on his feet bout to start a family with his fiance he was a good person that just made some poor mistakes in his past as alot of people did but should they be judged for that NO and 3 he never had a gun so how could he have shot at anyone they never found any bullets, shells or a gun to prove anything the cops in newburgh get away with killing alot of people did you know he cheif also killed a man by dragging him for blocks with his car and they made him cheif for doing that so before you judge get all the facts first please
Police have right to kill wrote:
Our taxes pay for the Police (in whatever municipality) to protect and serve. When an officer pulls a vehicle over and gets shot at, I think they should have the right to shoot right back to kill. What do you think the guy who shot first was trying to do? This is what our society has turned into. The local trash always has an answer to defend their ignorant actions. Let's get to the basic questions like what was a parolee doing with a gun? Did he have a job? And why did he start shooting if he didn't have anything to hide?
I think we need better bullet proof vests. We should patrol the streets with drug sniffing dogs and have a blast putting this juvenille delinquents in federal lockup all over the country.

if you had all the facts you would know he didnt miss the other shots he hit him in the back in the back of his arm and then in the back of his head

Well, I work in the City of Newburgh and I do not believe that the police did anything less than what they needed to do. If you were up with the facts than you would know that the cop who shot the youth, fired 2 other shots prior to the lethal shot and missed. It was pure luck that the third shot went through his brain stem.

I happen to personally know the cop that was involved in that shooting, and he in no way has a rambo type mentality. You tell me if you can shoot below the waist at a moving target at night time dressed all in black. Don't make assumptions about someone's mentality that you don't know. Officer Lahar is a laid back person who uses violence as a last resort only in self DEFENSE. Cops are trained to shoot to kill. My father was a city of newburgh police officer. He was not trained to shoot to injur. If you are being shot at your life is in jeopardy and you are to respond with DEADLY force. No excuses for that guy, he was asking to be killed. He was no innocent church boy.

he is right he was not running from parol and he did not shoot at the police they never recovered a gun from him nor did they find any bullets or shells from this so called gun and did they tell you that the family have law suits aginst the newburgh police for many counts of harassments before this even happened do your research before you comment on something you know nothing about

<quoted text> ALl of this over someone who SHOT at police - as Ive said before his family should be sued by the police department for creating and raising such a person and turning him loose on society . If you are violent towards anyone - especially the police - you buy your own ticket to whatever show happens to you - its called taking responsibility for your actions and it seems that this person NEVER was taught to do that
