Final piece arrives for opera house renovation

The finishing piece to the Sterling Opera House exterior makeover has arrived. On Thursday, the 2,500-pound cupola that will sit atop the Elizabeth Street building was delivered to a warehouse in Beacon Falls, where it will be stored until its installation next spring.

Kudos to Sheila O'Malley for finding the initial monies to restore the Sterling Opera House. It's a great building that can eventually help to revitalize downtown Derby.

It will be a focal point for the city of Derby when completed. I have toured the interior twice. It will be a beautiful building. The acoustics are fantastic inside. Good luck Derby!

I guess the cupola is the final piece of the Sterling Opera House, other than the $10 Million needed to complete all of internal renovations! Poor heading to the article.
