Muslim holiday school closings nixed

A state school district that includes Beacon Falls and Prospect won't adopt a proposal to close schools on two Muslim holidays.

And I'm sure there are mexican holidays...and german and italian....and every other country that lives here in the USA that want schools closed for their holidays...what a bunch of crap.....this isn't even the USA any more...we lost this country to every other that took up residence here...dammmm shame.

Before you claim to know what Islam is about why don't you read up about it first. Islam means "PEACE." Just because there are a few radicals in the world who do wrong does not mean Muslims are bad. Islam forbids adultry, drugs, killing...last I checked so did all the other religions...

We already have to take off 2 days a year for a jewish holiday. THAT is not fair. This is not Jerusalem. It's the United States of America. Why should I have to lose a days pay for it. And I'm not being racist. Just a question.

Incidentally, I too am glad that they holidays requested were not added. Would be a different story if the district was Muslim majority, but it isn't.
