Access to Toms River/Monterey Beach area denied to me Friday at Ortley avenue check-point, after driving 2 hours to get there. TRPD closed to all around 9:30AM without any notice or updates. Contractor in front of me was allowed to go. I understand flooding and the tide issues on rt35. The bay has been flooding on the southbound side as long as I can remember, but the mayor and chief still don't know that the water in the bay rises a couple of hours A F T E R high tide and more so after a storm. It will flood again tomorrow, this is a natural occurrence.

They want us to rebuild but deny us access.
THE LONGER WE DELAY - THE WORSE IT GETS. Residents of the Barrier Island KNOW what to do!!!
Let us in so we can do it!!!

Anybody have any thoughts on breaking off from local governments and forming a new town or joining Lavallette. They seem to know what they are doing.
