Beware of Glen Cove Development!

I am so disappointed and disgusted in the way Glen Cove has handled its development and care of its natural resources for decades. The city is filled with ugly buildings that do not reflect the character or the history of Glen Cove, nor do they hold up to normal wear and tear.
The ugly crumbling parking garages come to mind ... the institutional apartment buildings on Brewster Street and the prison-like structure, The Avalon Apartments, that loom over Glen Cove like a mental hospital. What about the unsightly, discombobulated mini-malls and office buildings scattered around the city? Some crumbling, many vacant with taped up, boarded windows, or gapping empty spaces to break your heart.
Glen Cove's solution? The signs are up in the Landing for the new condos!- Coming soon!
With it will come congestion, traffic, additional pressure on a school system that can barely handle the population as it is .... and the impact on the environment: pollution! Not just the filth injected into our land and water, but sound and congestion of the likes we have never known. Try bumper to bumper traffic, packed parking lots and noise, noise, noise!
I have heard a rumor that developers are trying to put a plan into place that will displace the residents of the Back Road Hill/Glen Cove Ave. project apartments, mostly African American residents, so they can build luxury condos!
What's with the KONICA demolition? What does Glen Cove have planned for the future there?
Is the reason Glen Cove is allowing the destruction of our live woods, the lopping down of beautiful ancient live trees at Gravies Point, for example, because it's a way to facilitate the developers?- Is this a "Hey, let someone else clear the land, pave the way for the future?" kind of approach? This is certainly more appealing to developers to get rid of those old trees at the cost of the storm? What kind of funding is being used to do all this "clearing"?
Let's stop allowing Glen Cove's most dastardly businessmen, AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, exploit and demolish life as we have known it in this area for many generations. I am not opposed to progress, I am opposed to exploitation of our city, of our environment for profit.
Who really are the people on the board of the Glen Cove Industrial Development Agency, headed by Ralph Suozzi? How many of these board members are developers with interests in developing Glen Cove for profit? How many of these board members have complicated and clandestine connections with unprincipled purveyors of construction and other development supplies?
I think a serious investigation into the business practices of the City of Glen Cove needs to be conducted as of yesterday! What do you think?
I think there may just be a festering cesspool under the development volcano at zip code 11542.

If you would use google and look up about that area by herb hill road. Garvies point rd. and Charles street. It is all contaminated. Li tungsten corp wich went bankrupt in 1985 disposed of metals along with Konica Minolta Konica is a hazardous material job going on for the next year minimum with metals, chemicals, and asbestos all in the soil and water. Do research Besides they want to build condos on these sites
