Full story: Eureka Times Standard

Agreed. When our president is able to silence NASA scientists whose studies prove the dire consequences of climate change, something is wrong with our system. When senators & representatives are allowed to vote on bills that affect their own personal wealth, something is wrong with our system. When corporate representatives are allowed to channel funds into elected officials campaign coffers, something is wrong with our system.

And now, release the nearly ONE MILLION people in jail or prison for POT. Yes, Mildred, people are thrown in jail or prison every day for using pot. Then, once that happens, fire about half of the cops and prison guards and put them to work actually producing a good or service.

About time. The government lied about the AMA's position when it railroaded marijuana prohibition through in 1937. It only took 72 years for them to cry foul.

”I have not a concern about it,” said Roger Morgan, a co-founder of Californians for Drug-free Schools.“Obviously, it's a change in direction for them. But, I think if they conduct more studies they will end up with the same answer they've had before: That smoked, crude marijuana is not medicine.”

but http://www.abilify.com/ this appears to be a composite every major anti depressant mashed together is?

Oh yes, more "studies" are needed. ROFLMAO. It's only been used for oh, THOUSANDS of years. Yes, read THOUSANDS of years. And, don't put up that crap about how much stronger it is today. You only get so high, and besides, isn't stronger better in that you'd use less? HUH? Even though MJ has been proven to not cause lung cancer, the boneheads will continue to contend so.

So what? The AMA is comprised of about 1/3 of all MD's and OD's and it has always been considered a liberal organization. This in no way conveys the opinion of anything near a majority of medical doctors. Unless they are hacks like Dr Hassani or whatever his name is.

While I do not have an opinion either way on MJ legalization, why is it important that a group representing 17%(wikianswers) of MD's come out in favor of it? Why should this small group of Docs get so much ink?

Because it is the largest group of Doctors in the US and doctors are considered by most people to be more intelligent and more educated than the general public.

This may or may not be true but I think it is the perception.

Have another drink John because everyone knows that alcohol is king and it always has been. That's all we need is another drunk slopping around to add to the other trillion of them.... Get real John John and move forward but I do respect your outlook a bit.

As long as there are law enforcement officers who's salaries/lifestyles are paid for by the immoral slaying of an herb (with more textile and medicinal properties than peanuts or cotton) there will be men behind state & federally appointed badges to bend and abuse the law as they wish to keep their salaries/lifestyles.

An example is this: You can't try to stop using fossil fuels for a better tomarrow if those fossil fules pay for billions of jobs, every business executive and CEO with a nice Mercedes Benz and 2 summer homes is going to fight you tooth and nail to prevent it (this is common sense-fact recognizable by even the stupidest of people). The same thing applies to drug-based (and drug funded I might add) law enforcement. Law enforcement which has a much greater iconic image to use as backing for their cause(a total ruse and abuse of any kind of law-enforcement uniform and badge in my opinion). So what do I mean?... F#CK THE POLICE!

To defend and protect?! Since when is it in my defense or protection to destroy a plant with as many benefits as marijuana (to include remission and complete destruction of cancerous cells/tumors; PROVEN facts which can be found by ANYONE by simply googling the articles and recent studies/discoveries).

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Capricorn

Someone is being very pedantic and picky, and they'll soon drive you round the bend with frustration. They're splitting hairs about all sorts of petty problems, but unfortunately you won't be immune from this yourself. You might get caught up in needless details that don't really matter, or take everything that happens very personally. Try to be more objective.
