So, had LPPD completely forgotten about this child?

Has the family received any update at all???

Is the investigation even still underway???

I have not forgotten about YOU, Chief Adcox.

But I don't know that.

I am pursuing assistance to bring this situation to light for the family. I think everyone who read this should pursue all avenues they think of to bring public attention to this.

Why do you always have to be so negative and against the police dept. They have not forgotten about this child. They are still investigating and doing everything possible to bring justice to the family. If you know anything some cases are more difficult to solve than others and take longer. The detectives are very busy and they have numerous cases they are working on, not just this homicide. He is continuing to work on this case along with the others. The detective on this particular case is one of the best, but he is a very busy guy. I will continue to keep the childs family in my prayers.

Just shows the lack of intelligence the two of you have for our justice system!
It is up to the detective to make sure that all "i's" are dotted and all "t''s" are crossed before arresting and charging the scumbag for murder. By that time he, the scumbag, shouldn't be able to see the light of day except from a prison cell.

Wow, how about keeping them in the loop instead? Since you have so much first hand information to share and faith in this detective please clarify for us if reports are wrong that there were an extremely limited number of people in the vicinity of this child prior to his death. Also, have you seen the friends and family on here who say they have no information and no contact from anyone keeping them informed of this case? Are they lying? Since you are so close with this detective maybe you could encourage him to talk to the family every now and then? Maybe people are being hard about this because a one year old has been dead since June with no arrest. I am sure your confidence in your detective brings this family lots of comfort on their first Christmas without their baby while a murderer is free to enjoy Christmas.

Not lack of intelligence. Just lack of compassion for a group of "poor poor overworked super-conscientious" detectives who are enjoying Christmas with their families along with a murderer who is enjoying freedom six months after a one year old is murdered. I have a feeling bid family isn't enjoying this Christmas without their baby. Probably everything around them is an excruciatingly painful reminder of what they have lost. His lauh. His funny faces. His little feet running through the house. Things they will never have back. Maybe his family doesnt want to hear the standard platitudes right now about busy detectives and how hard they are working because there are so many other cases. Maybe you could just be quiet about that for now and just let this family know their pain and loss has not been forgotten at this painful time of year.

Just shows your lack of knowledge and history of the LPPD.

Murders are rarely solved in La Porte.

People have a way of being killed... and just forgotten about.

I will not let them forget about this child.

My blessings and sympathy go out to his family... I hope you find a way to fill that hole in your hearts.

I am sure that without me saying that it never crossed their minds. Have you ever lost someone that close? Do you think it is helpful for people to just ignore what someone is going through? Do you think there is a possibility that it might be comforting to hear someone acknowledge what you feel? It is not for you to decide what is comforting or not to them, and it is not up to me. I think to ignore their loss right now would be wrong. You think it shouldn't be brought up. You think it is ok to defend your hero detective here. I Think it was in poor taste to say anything like that here. Either or neither of us may be right. Only the family and friends can decide what, if anything, brings them comfort or peace right now.

Speaking for myself, support and compassion definitely brings comfort. The loss of this baby is always on our minds and we're trying really hard to believe that justice will prevail. Only time will tell ...

I just dont want anyone who loved him to feel ignored and not be able to say how hard this is because other people are uncomfortable hearing about it. I hope they have people who can listen and help them carry this pain.

If he was as good as you stated, the family would be informed. If his case load is too thick that he has to work on this and other cases to the point that picking up the phone is too much of an inconvenience then perhaps someone needs to lighten his burden. Hire another detective.

A similar case happened in my town and granted, it took 6 months for them to cross their T's and dot the I's but they made sure to keep the grand parents updated during the entire ordeal.

In the end doing ones job is never enough when it comes to the death of a child, they need to go over and beyond. As nice as your prayers are, tell that to the grand parents whose hearts skip a beat every time the phone rings wondering if perhaps THIS is the call the long for, just to be disappointed month after month. You are a "SuperStar Mom", if this was your child and you were uninformed on the case's progress, would you feel the same way?

We are going thru our own nightmare so yes I can feel the pain of this family. I know it took a while for our case to be handled and I know how it feels not get calls with updates on a case. I can sympathize with the family there. However you have to let the police/detectives/investigator s do there job to help get justice for the family. May peace be with the family during this difficult time.

Yes its true. In the third post of the thread Charles Gilliam proved once again that he is more important than murdered children or catching murderers. Considering he is a criminal drug addict on the run from a felony warrant in LP, its no surprise that he would want to continue wounding the community with his arrogance and rudeness. Go have another smoke Charles. Shame on YOU!
