This is an old one. Excerpts from Snopes.com : Variations: Later versions of this item changed the subjects from "members of Congress" to members of Parliament from Canada, India, or the UK, or to players from the NFL and NBA. ***The information isn't independently verifiable, since none of the people referenced is identified by name.(Why bother to conduct all that research but then not mention any names? One plausible answer is that doing so heads off libel lawsuits if the information proved to be inaccurate or false.) ***The original article is now several years old (having been published in 1999) and even when first published didn't list any names or state when its information was collected, so there's no telling how many of the people referenced might still be in Congress. ***The list is long on vague innuendo and woefully short of hard facts. It describes members of Congress who have supposedly been "arrested," "accused," or "defendants," but doesn't mention a single case (anonymous or otherwise) of any of them having been convicted (or even tried) on criminal charges, no matter how minor, or of having been found liable in a civil lawsuit. ***Lacking any specific context, some of these claims border on the silly. "Twenty-one [Congress members] are current defendants in various lawsuits, ranging from bad debts, disputes with business partners or other civil matters." How much significance should we place on such a vague statement in our litigious society, where just about anyone can find himself a defendant in a civil lawsuit over the most frivolous of matters (or nothing at all)? Some of our Congressional representatives certainly have less-than-stellar personal records, but many of them are in fact dedicated, honest, hard-working public servants. Tarring them all with the brush of anonymous, vague accusation does no one any good. http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/congress...

Well, these shouldn't bother you, as it's the same thing you do in your efforts to assert your "idiology" upon others.

How can posting an opinion on an anonymous forum be considered asserting one's ideology upon others?
What makes you even think such a thing?

So Gasbag, when is it "an opinion" and when is it "asserting one's ideology"? Isn't such an opinion (as you claim) typically based on one's ideology (as you've shown)? Please tell us the difference. Of course, I find your opinions and ideology to be equally flawed, as they are typically based on the same level of anonymous stupidity.

You state your opinion quite frequently, Gasbag. But it would be ludicrous to think you're asserting your ideology upon anyone (whatever that means). You can't even assert your grammar lessons upon anyone.

I like how when someone decides to run for office, they go out and rent a house to show residencey or finally pay off that outstanding tax bill.

I ask you to explain one simple statement you made and you just beat around the bush. You do nothing more than spew forth a bunch of crap, that you can't justify or back up with any hint of intelligent reasoning, much less facts.

What I mean is that no one on the Deer Park forum cares what either you or I think about anything. Obviously, that doesn't deter us. But it's hard to "assert one's ideology upon" anyone. The fact that you would even think such a thing indicates your bag is overinflated.

So, you still can't offer an explanation and continue to try to evade it. So typical of you... You're putting quite a path around that bush you beat.

My question came right before yours.

As usual, you expect others to answer your silly questions, which are usually just fish bait for you to spew out more of your BS... but you never answer questions put to you. So, here's another one for ya... Why would you even expect an answer to your questions? Go Fish.

Now, if you really want an answer to your question, you would need to answer mine first, in an attempt to clarify your own. Otherwise, it would only give rise to assumptions, as to your meaning or intent. However, you don't even know what you meant, so that's why you're avoiding my question to keep from looking "stupider" than you have demonstrated on so many occasions.
