What????? He still has a job???? Scooby don't you think they should have fired him at halftime????

They should fire him because he can't make a player grow to about 7'-6" tall. How dare him for growing some seven footers.....man he sucks....come on Scoob, you with me, right?????

They should have never given him the job. He has got to be the worst coach in the history of Deer Park basketball. I hope we are all talking about Louie Means

How did I know this thread would take a turn for the worse! Why don't you join in on the discussion about pollution instead?

Why would I join a discussion about pollution? Well I guess I could seeing Louie Means has polluted DP Basketball.

Ok Honey, which player is yours? Apparently you think your son is the best player in the school.

Or is he recieving free expensive hunting and fishing trips for letting certain players play?

DPTX, feel free to jump in here too, but keep Betty's mom out of the conversation PLEASE....lol

It couldn't be the players parents (football or b-ball) causing the pollution....could it????

Also, is it to early to start a thread about the baseball coach?? I don't know anything about him, but I just thought we could get it over with before baseball starts.....

Hey I know him and his family and some of his extended family personally and really would appreciate you keeping your negative comments to yourself.

I'm not sure that I'm "up to it" to discuss this matter. I'm not even close to 7'.

However, I think Honey IS Betty's mom.

I don't really want to date myself, but Betty's mom should be old enough where all of her best parts have lost a great battle with gravity...so I would just rather remember her in my dreams....lol

Let's start a wrestling team so we can fire that coach also.....come Scoob....where ya at???? You been awful quiet on THIS subject......

Well, that's what makes this fitting... all these folks that dream that they could do better than those hired to coach.

As far as, scooby, perhaps he's decided to only discuss subjects that he knows something about.

So, why aren't we hearing about the girl's coaches?
Aren't they important, too?

Had a girls varsity soccer scrimmage tonight. The coach is new to us. He came to us from Beaumont Westbrook. Will have to see a few more games before I can form an opinion about his coaching. We need more talent.

Where do you suggest we get this "talent"? Should we bus them in?

Some folks here need to get a life and quit living their dreams through the children... much less, blaming the coaches or the school. Remember, these kids are going to school to learn a hell of a lot more, than how to throw a ball.

Will someone refer to post #8 and explain why such a statement should be honored now as so many in the past have been bashed in this forum. Does POP expect to be cut some slack or what?

Well, of course there are some on this forum that think certain folks are more special or "cut some slack" based on their own criteria, whether it's who they are, who knows them, how often they criticize or various other factors. This has been quite apparent on many of these threads.

If some of these folks knew who was posting, many of their responses would be quite different than what you typically see.

This is just our own little Peyton Place gossip fence and often our Harper Valley PTA pointing their finger at the perceived misdeeds of others.

The point I (and football fan) have tried to make on numerous occasions, is too many are too focused on these extra-curricular activities and want to proclaim how great "our kids" are, based on their sports performance.

To these folks, I say, "Get over it and get a real life!".

First, these kids are in school to learn the things that will be much more important in their life's success.
Sports is entertainment and 99.9% of these kids do not have the talent to make it a career. So, unless they are considering a career as a PE teacher, it will never be anything more than a past-time for most.

So, how many go to the Spelling Bee and Debate competitions and root for their kids and then expect the school to fire the English or Speech teachers, if their kid/team doesn't win?

Tell me when this thread is updated:
