Congrats on waking up. That's the third time this week the helicopter has been here.

No need to be rude. It was just a question.

You have to forgive her. She doesn't understand the concept of working and thinks everyone sits around all day and all night, gaping at the clouds and stars.

The chopper was back again last night for a long time. It was hovering over by the bay when I was on Broadway. What is going on and why is Barack Obama watching so many of us?

The choppers come from Ellington at dusk every night about 15 minutes apart. They do search and rescue drills for about an hour each. I have seen as many as 8 of them hovering over the ship channel at one time. Then they return to Ellington.

I think they are running simulations, since NICE was implemented on 8/21/13. They have to practice coordination missions with the new system to help work out any bugs or miscommunications.

I dont have any facts to back it up, but from the things i know. this sounds very plausible. Especially since many different agencies are involved.

"A 24/7 monitoring center operated by the Harris County Sheriff's Office is the focal point for threat assessment and local/state response at the ship channel. Here, NICE Situator fuses the information fromfixed and mobile video, radar, sonar, AIS ship tracking and more, and automates response plans so that operators can better visualize and manage situations in real-time, both on land and on the water. NICE is also providing a web client for its video solution, as well as mobile client software for Situator so that first responders can view task lists and more effectively synchronize their response processes.

In a step toward improving mobile responses, interagency coordination, and interoperability, the Situator software has also been deployed in the Harris County Mobile Command Center and at other locations in collaboration with the Police Department atthe Port of Houston Authority, the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Harris County Sheriff's Office, and the U.S. Coast Guard."

There is a helicopter home at the airport. They sell rides, teach how to fly helicopters, provide helicopter flights, etc. And it is getting larger and worse. They have test drives after working on them I am sure. I resent it sounding like the sound stage from "MASH" over here in Lomax. I also resent students or whoever that are circling the airport over homes with families. Complain to the airport. There should be a flight plan not over homes and shouldn't be allowed to fly so low over homes.

Whoa NIMBY! Why did you buy a home so close to an airport? Are you old Lomax or New Lomax? New Lomax are the hailed who raised the level of their properties in order to make flooding worse for their neighbors.

The Helicopters are a new addition in the last several years to the airport. There is only one Lomax. The only thing I can get out of you answer is maybe you think raising the dirt level made the homes closer to the helicopters? LOL Point is these helicopters should be regulated like the airplane flights are. And that is where the helicopters flying over our homes are coming from.

I am sick of it. This one hovers so close to the ground, circles around, hangs out over homes. It's like we are being stalked.

You people are playing with yourselves over helicopters, when our Senator Jerk Ted Cruz is stuffing his pockets with money from the dumb bastards that want to kill Obamacare?

Why not let Obamacare die on its own if it is so bad?

Truth is, it is good, will provide insurance to millions who don't have it, allow our kids coverage and eliminate preexisting conditions. It will also will drive down costs. This has already been proven

Meantime, Ted Cruz wants to defund mental health care, shut down government, so more whack jobs can buy guns and have massacres.

The truth is, it has been proven to do just the opposite of what you wrote. You are lying.

Why not offer people health CARE rather than health insurance? Because that doesn't line the pockets of the criminals who passed this law.

Because the same morons wanting to block the insurance law would block the health care. I think they should give all Americans the same Insurance and Health care they give themselves. OR PAY THEIR OWN INSURANCE; They make more than triple what most folks make; They should be able to afford it.
