The people who endorse Stockman do so because he is against gun control bills, illegal immigrants becoming citizen's and eating up government benifets that we pay taxes for, welfare benifits paid to people who can work that we pay for, cellphones for people who can work that we pay for, better health care for welfare recipients who can work who recieve better health care than private and public sector emploees recieve from the health care we have to pay for, food stamps given to recipients that go to the store and load them back into their new cars that we pay for when We can barely make it because we the tax payers pay for their refusal to work. I agree that some people really need benifits due to health reasons and circumstances not under their control and I support that. I also support helping individuals who can not help themselves, but not those abled bodied recipients who refuse to help themselves and live off our tax dollars because they refuse to work or are addicted to drugs living on our hard earned money! DAMN RIGHT we endorse and support Stockman! Not only is everyone in my household voting for him, I will campaign for him to recieve as many votes possible in the next election!

So you're endorsing Stockman for minority leader. That's weird, but let's see how it pans out.

There is apparently a huge groundswell of support to kick the tea party darlings like Steve Stockman out of office in the 2014 elections. Let's do a good old political beatdown on their butts for holding our country hostage so they can have their crybaby demands. Let's trade their shutdown of our government for a shutdown of their political careers!! I know there is still a majority of sane people out there regardless of what party you claim. We "sane" Americans need to take our zoo away from the monkeys (tea partiers) that have hijacked it. Join me in working hard to spread this message and I can't wait to see all "sane" Americans at the polls November '14.

No, there is no "groundswell of support" to kick any Tea Party related congressman out of office. And to be clear, Steve Stockman is no "tea party darling.". Let's also be clear, you support adding to the national debt AND GIVING INSURANCE SUBSIDIES TO FEDERAL STAFFERS AND BIG BUSINESS.

Let's talk about the national debt, Pinche. It's been growing out of control for over 30 years now. I agree that we need to tame it, but you simply can't reign it in all of a sudden. That would put a helluva strain on the economy. That would suddenly throw millions of people out of work because so many depend on government spending for their livlihood. Just as the problem crept up on us, we have to gradually step it back down. We have to decrease the size of government a few percent each year to prevent shocking our economy. The tea party wants to do it all right now but that is a prescription for disaster. Many of them are willing to do this simply to make this president and his party fail so they can regain power in government.

Was the country having any meaningful discussion about the debt ceiling or the deficit before the Tea Party came along? Has a line been drawn in the sand before now? A line in the sand not only for Democrats, but also for career establishment Republicans? No. One thing you need to understand about the Tea Party; we want establishment Republicans to fail just as much as we do big spending Democrats. But this shutdown maneuvering isn't about the next election. It's about getting making a point. Obamacare WILL bankrupt this country, if the concept of us being "bankrupt" still exists.

Well, well, well, Stockman and his looney tea party playmates nearly sent this country over the fiscal cliff but fortunately cooler heads prevailed and slammed the tea party train to a dead stop. The Republicans got us into two unfunded wars and a housing collapse that sent this economy into a tailspin which President Obama is starting to pull us out of when these jerks act like children and pull another stupid stunt by shutting the government down and almost ruin our credit. I call on all the responsible citizens of district 19 to vote this looney and his lunatic supporters out of office in 2014 - let's not forget the catastrophe that they nearly caused !!

The fact that you blame the housing collapse on the republicans disqualififies you from further discussion, you uninformed, delusional boob.

You're apparently the uninformed one my friend. In 1999, our good old Republican senator from Texas, the dishonorable Phil Graham pushed for bank deregulation where they could play around with derivitives that eventually led to the housing collapse.
sdjs - why don't you ever say something substative instead of always tagging on to what others say - you're a good reason why women should have never been given the power to vote.

You people seem to have forgotten all about Bawny Fwanks. Here is a nice video to remind people who is largely responsible for the housing crash.
The Dems sure have leadership to be proud of. LOL
