Okay, one last point. Those of you who feel Texas is in such bad shape need to re-do your homework. The State is actually doing pretty well compared to others. So forget the "Texas is broke" garbage. If you disagree with spending cuts, okay...but it isnt because the State is broke. Perry, like him or not, hasnt done a half-bad job. Now go check and see how Bill White really did in Houston.

Look, we need change, and the only reason Texas isn't broke is because of the bailout last year that delayed but did not avert the budget crisis. If you pay attention to the news and don't just pay attention to the mudslinging campaign ads paid for by each opposing party you would know that now they are trying to figure out what to do about that budget crisis now as it starts to descend upon us. Each candidate has done good and bad things, I do not vote down party lines, I vote for the candidate I believe will be able to do the most good, and from what Perry has done (and tried to do) and what Bill White did in Houston, because he did turn it around, unemployment percentage wise) Bill White seems like a better choice to me.

Bill White was Mayor of the largest Sancuary City in Texas. That tells me where he stands on immigration, the biggest problem and cost to Texas taxpayers today. Perry the lessor of two evils.

If we secede, we would not get ANY federal aid. Could Texas survive? I think not. Perry talks about seceding and then after a hurricane hits, begs for federal aid. What a chump.

It is my belief that it is time for Rick Perry to go to wherever he came from. Bill White will make the best Governor for Texas who will be for education, bring more industry to Texas and face immigration in a respectful manner. The economy for Texas is better than most other states and with Bill White it will continue to flourish.

Lala, you are on the right track Bill White has done very well in Houston with bringing industry and turning the economy around when it needed to for the city to avoid bankruptcy.
