I think that Homes and Local Business have gone down in value and we no longer send money to other School District?

Dpisd is great. Education is the best thing a teenager can get. homeschooling will reach noooooooo where near the education of a ninth or tenth grader.without highschool, a person would miss out on developing relationship skills and having a normal life. And dpisd is better than a lot of schools around and offers many programs. anybody who says elsewise is a sore loser and doesn't know what they're talking about.

DPISD IS AN OUTSTANDING DISTRICT. IF YOU WERE IN EDUCATION YOU WOULD KNOW IT IS THE BEST AROUND. EVERY DISTRICT IS TRYING TO DEAL WITH THOSE WONDERFUL LAWS GIVEN TO THEM BY THE STATE AND NOT FOR THE PEOPLE. WE NEED SOME ONE IN CHARGE WHO REALLY CARES FOR OUR CHILDREN AND KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!
If they care so much why is there a male teacher at DPJH who is still teaching, who assaulted many female students in the early 90's? Why are they cruel to our children who have special needs? Let me tell you something Sharyn DPISD covers up and hides many things from the public. Then tries to just blame it on the person being a troubled youth. Maybe you should ask yourself why are some of these kids ran out of deer park schools. YES, RAN OUT....

Maybe because the youth was actually causing a lot of trouble? And maybe that's because their parents were those that think their kids never do wrong and blame it all on the teachers and the school.

Hmmmmm ........ That must be why the two special needs teachers just resigned after an investigation into their actions. Those special needs children are just a bunch of troublemakers.

Good Job! You can add them to the list of those convicted by the Topix TarNFeatherNRunEmOutaTown JudgeNJury posse, along with Coach Massey, the Community Center Custodian pervert, Nader the pervert, Pound the wife-beater & auto thief, the animal shelter employees, the Cookie Jar druggie, ALL those involved with Senior Meals, as well as all those other lousy teachers in DPISD, among many others.

Now, let's get to work on those in City Council and the Illegals!

You have to go back through quite a few pages of posts to find that one and look for Pound being arrested.

I'd like to post what I know about DPISD.. Drugs are a serious problem and our Police Department isn't allowed to go to the schools to search for drugs.. The school district contracts a private firm to do this. Students aren't punished for skipping school because it's such a huge problem and they would literally have to punish a large majority of the students because the problem is huge. DUH!!!
They love to let homeless students and out of district students in because they make money from the state of Texas for doing this.

That is correct. Single family homes have decreased in value slightly over the past 3 years, and the taxable value of industry has decreased dramatically, specifically the shell plant and refinery, despite high prices at the pump.

And the state keeps cutting funding and heaping on unfunded requirements that cost us locally. So, less state money, little ability to compensate for the loss at the local level, more requirements that cost money. No other successful, sustainable business model in the world actually works that's way.

Makes you wonder what Gov Goodhair and his right wing, public education hating henchmen are really after. Could it be failure of the public Education system, opening the door for public funding of private, religious schools? Think about that for a minute...

i hated everything about dpisd, the superficial people, the mediocre (at best) teachers, and the drugs/whores social system. i went through fairmont, so it was even worse...thanks for forcing me to interact with every type of person i didn't want to become. i can say that the experience was the most important lesson i learned, and has shaped me into a thoughtful, caring individual that takes the time to think things out for myself.

I know of quite a few kid that have been home schooled and they are in college now and doing very well. I had a problem with one of the Asst. Principals about my child skipping school and he basically told me that she wasn't as bad a some kids and blew us off. Eventually she quit school and didn't get her diploma. I was shocked and how he didn't want to or didn't have the time to deal with our child. It was not Mr. Corry either.
