Question was asked what did this sharing cost the city. Without asking for open records, I found this in my notes.

Also I've asked via open records the following:
I'm requesting a copy of the map & list that Mr. Bill Pedersen provided for council on October 18, 2011 showing the water lines and a list of businesses who have paid full cost for extended water lines in the past.

Council also narrowly approved cost sharing with Rob Johnson Interest LLC of a waterline extension across frontage property at 3811 Center Street. Council members Jerry Mouton, Chris Richey and Beckie Stockstill-Cobb along with Mayor Wayne Riddle voted for the agreement. Councilmen Thane Harrison, Bill Patterson and Jeff Pound voted against it. The total cost to the city will be $7,650 to loop two waterlines across the front of the development.

Now the same Rob Johnson is asking for rezoning approval by the San Jacinto Jr. College on Spencer. I'm concerned as to what he might ask for next, in sharing costs etc, since the city has previously granted him such requests.

Remember he has made a political donation to Mr. Mouton's campaign of $750.00. Last night Mr. Johnson commented that Mr. Mouton had asked him for a contribution and that is why he did it. With his past dealings with the City of Deer Park and rezoning requests, I wonder if Mr. Mouton should have asked him for a donation? Personally I would say its a serious conflict of interest to have done so, Quid pro quo?

It would all depend on the circumstances when such as "asking" took place. If it was at a port commission event or perhaps a hot dog fund raising event where all attendees are asked to contribute to the only candidate that has a forward thinking view of the city then I believe it is OK, If they were in the smoke filled backroom of Deer Park's power and social elite and Mr. Johnson was asked for cash, this could be a different story altogether.

Forward thinker? Now that is funny. Its more about how can I con them to vote for me. City Employees, get ready to have lots of benefits taken away to make room for Mouton's liberal spending desires. Oh, and property taxes will also go up dramatically to raise additional revenue for his special project like the opportunity center. He and the city manager think alike, spend and tax like crazy.

21. Consideration of and action on a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission and an ordinance calling a joint public hearing on the request of Ming Cong Pham and Robert Johnson, Jr. to rezone 8015 Spencer Highway (Savannah Oaks Apartments) from Multi-Family Two (MF-2) Zoning to General Commercial (GC) Zoning.

Hoping council says NO!!!!! Not happy that Mouton received $750 from Rob Johnson for this years campaign. What interest does Rob Johnson have since he does not live here? Rob is only looking to have Mouton in his back pocket imo. Send a strong message that your votes can NOT be bought!!!! Where there's one developer that wants to rebuild, there's another. Go ahead please pull Mouton's campaign reports. Facts are facts. I'm more upset with Rob's actions. I'm not trying to slam Mouton, because he has the right to receive campaign donations from anyone he wants, but I really wish Mouton hadn't taken his money. Something he may wish he hadn't done. Want to make it right Mouton? Give the man his money back and tell him he can't buy your vote.

Council members, Rob stated at P&Z hearing last month that he has no clue what he will put there. He just threw spaghetti in the air!!! While it may be a few "new buildings", the question must be answered, what will go there? Will it be more Check Cashing places? Please send him down the road to another town.

Question, I spoke at the P&Z hearing for this rezoning in the middle of April stating to P&Z close to the same thing as I mentioned above (well I was a bit more fired up) The minutes of that hearing are still not available for viewing online. How then, do you determine how you will vote? Another gentleman spoke against the rezoning. His daughter was on the fence, but showed much concern for what may be developed by Rob. Shelley spoke out with concern stating she was against any hotel being built. That's 4 people that showed concern. But you have no record of that information since minutes are not available to you. P&Z had a majority vote in FAVOR of sending this request on to you all. IMO the buck should have stopped with P&Z, but now it's in your laps. So again I ask, how then do you determine how you will vote?

I asked all that were in ear shot of me after the P&Z hearing was over. Why cant' they just do the right thing? Why is it so hard?
Just saying
