Are there any programs in the are for teens who seem to be heading down a wrong path. That don't seem to think rules and consequences are important?
I mean, I know if they get picked up they get probation and community service and if they do something worthy, they can go to juvenile - but is there a place for parents to turn before all this?
Looked into the MMA camp in Harlingen, but its full already. I thought it started in July - starts next week.

I feel for you. I tried many alternatives and none worked.we made too much, he wasn't bad enough, you get the picture. We spent thousands of dollars on therapy, which taught him how to lie better. If you go to Church, have you tried your pastor? A therapist can let you know about youth camps.

Thanks LP mom. I am in that same boat. Hasn't been in 'enough' trouble.. Was hoping for a good mentoring idea.

I can offer prayers. It's hard but you will get through it too. Keep advocating for your child, no one else will.

Maybe find an activity that takes a lot of their time. Keep them busy. It worked for my daughter when I thought she may be going down the wrong road when she was in jr high. Didn't care who she was hanging around. She liked sports so put her on a summer sport team where they had practices several times a week and went to tournament quite a bit over the summer.
