We need you, the media to support the unemployed people of America. I watch Fox 4 religiously and the support for the Jobs bill and the unemployment bill has been non-existant.

"the Republicans are prepared to kill efforts to close loopholes that allow companies to export jobs overseas"

This is also in the bill!

Now why would they do that? Hmmm. Could it be that Republicans are sleeping in the same bed as big business and couldn't care less how these decisions effect Joe Smo?

Come election time the Republicans are going to feel to full brunt of the U.S. citizenry. You don't get to support spending 140 billion in the Middle East this year (160 billion last year) and then turn down a measure to help struggling U.S. citizens.
People need to make their voices heard. If those in Congress hear from enough of us they will act, but there needs to be a steady drumbeat of calls and pressure. I also recommend calling the WH, too, since the president supports an extension and needs to know that we need him to press the issue.
THANK YOU

If you are willing to work for the labor rates they pay in China, Eastern Europe, India etc.... and feel you can pay your bills, you are on the right track. The US companies are being forced to outsource. If they don't, they will not be competitive in the GLOBAL market which is becoming considerably larger than the US market. Do you really want to pay $5,000 for a TV you can buy for $1,200 out of Asia? Second, countries like China that represent the largest emerging market REQUIRE you manufacture in their country if you want to supply product in their country. It sucks but their isn't any obvious solution.

I suggest the US will continue to lose manufacturing jobs, technical job opportunities will prosper and you will see a much larger lower income population in the service industry than ever before. Get an education or plan on poverty for life.

You're an idiot!

A. It's not the media's job to support legislation. They're job is to report the news.

B. Hmmm. Could it be that both parties are in bed with big business because big business has to back the winners, therefore they'll give to whomever they think will be in office:

Side note: Where will the money come from to pay for any new (government)"jobs" or (private sector)"unemployment " bills??? And how many extensions for unemployment have they already passed?? And what the hell was the stimulus supposed to be??

"Come election time the Republicans are going to feel to full brunt of the U.S. citizenry."

You're delusional. Both parties will feel the brunt and it won't be because they're crying out for more handouts.
