Anyone hear the police/motorcycle chase this morning? Started on Fairmont Parkway then they flew done Driftwood to Spencer? Wonder how it turned out. Didn't sound like they caught him... I wonder how good an idea it was to chase a kid on a bike 100+ in a residential area?

Probably another fleeing shoplifter!

Police get so focused on catching the "bad guy" that they usually put the public at greater risk than the value of the crime the suspect is being pursued for.

Certainly in the case of Marijuana possession... any intervention by the police put everyone at greater risk than risk from the Marijuana itself.

Just the act of a cop pulling over a vehicle for speeding is FAR more dangerous than smoking weed.

That is going to be part of the retraining that I will be doing at the La Porte Police Department called "Suspect Value Assessment".

The suspect was indeed caught. The police did not go 100, the bad guy did. But I guess you just think that we should just let bad guys go. Great idea. How about praising the cops for catching the bad guy and no one got hurt. Don't you think that a motorcyclist traveling over 100 shoul be caught and is dangerous. Sheeple. Move to Canada and save the rest of us from your silliness. As far as the person that is supposedly teaching the class I hope that you do not subscribe to the same junk.

YOU hijacked another thread; nice going. As usual you had no information about the incident. You just began braying about YOUr own best interest (pot) and threw in a few stupid exaggerated comments (100+ MPH). Then you added YOUr tired old BS about running for mayor. You are sick and stupid indeed.

So... was the "bad guy" going 100 mph through the neighborhood trying to get away from the cops... or was that his crime, going 100 mph on say, Spencer?

How did the cops catch him, did he stop? Did they corner him?

I'm just wondering how cops can catch a guy on a motorcycle going 100mph without going FASTER than 100mph?

Did he just give up?

Did they set up roadblocks?

Was a helicopter involved?

How does creating more hazards for the public... protect the public?

Do you know how many accidents are caused by police pulling citizens over to give them a ticket???

Like the enforcement of Marijuana laws... all laws should be enforced with a measure of sanity.

If enforcement of the law does more harm than the actual breaking of the law in the first place... let it go.

I believe laws are spiritual... and should not be enforced to the letter.

Here we have Charles Gilliam preaching about not enforcing drug laws and how he is going to re-train the police department. How comical! Charles have you forgotten that you are a wanted thief?

Many people who rose to power were considered criminals by the Establishment they replaced... that is nothing new.

Kings, Queens, Presidents, Governors... most people who have power demonize those who threaten that power.

That is EXACTLY what is going on with the City of La Porte... they are desperate to demonize me in the eyes of the people of La Porte.

I am a threat to their power... bet that.
