I just have a question, why are you posting a picture of the poor dead cat????? I understand how you feel I am a huge cat lover & Same thing happened in our yard on Friday Morning. 2 dogs killed a cat & we had to call animal control. It was bad, but you dont see me posting pictures of the dead cat here.

A fair question. A collection of only pretty pictures is incomplete and false. I really am not a cat lover, these feral cats poop in my yard. I have to clean it up,this is part of life. For some cats, being crushed in the mouth of a pit bull named freedom running loose in the neighborhood is the way it ends. Here is proof of it. A new and younger cat is now checking out the vacated territory, there are birds a plenty around here ( which this dead cat likely ate a few of ) which entice these cats. Life ends in death, for cats and everything else. Buck up, we all got it coming.

Keep cats inside of house or on a leash at all times when outside and cat people alwasys wants to blame someone else for them not following the rules.

Yeah right the neighbor 2 doors down let her two dogs out front when they are out and my dogs in my back yard start barking because her dogs are at my gate teasing them. Put them on a leash or in your back yard also with cats put on leash or keep in house.

To post pictures of a dead cat, is your choice, but I do disagree with the words of your posting. Cat killed by "Pit-Bull"...could you not say "Dog"? Did you watch it happen? You actually saw with your own eyes that a "Pit-Bull" killed the cat? People are very qucik to call out a "pit-bull" when some kind of attack happens. I own two pit-bulls and they are the best dogs I have ever owned. What it comes down to is an irresponsible pet owner. I do agree with people saying that pets need to be on leashes. When you own a pet it is your responsibility to make sure your pets are safe and taken care of, don't be so quick to blame others/animals if you haven't made sure your pets are safe.

Sorry scooby. We have a cat, collar, tags, and all. She enjoys going outside at times. I am not going to put a leash on her. She stays around the house just hunting frogs, lizards, and mice from the field next to us........

Sorry sdjs you are breaking the law. In Deer Park
laws are the same for both dogs and cats. So please keep a leash on your cat and go by the law.

I believe that there are tough legal protections for animals in this sort of case, best to stick to shooting humans in the yard.

Knowing about death is essential to mental stability.
A photo of it brings about a deeper kind of knowing.
Knowing how it occur is a cautionary tale, which can help us avoid unnecessary deaths - in this case, keep dogs and cats inside at night or at other times.
Poor pretty kitty.
Thanks for the photo, photographer.
(Perhaps a brief comment which put forth your
motivation in posting it would have reassured some.)
