Who would I contact to get some type of police patrol on underwood at nights from 8pm to 2am? From Fairmont light to spencer they speed n race non stop on this street. And I never see any police patrolling it. What to do I'm frustrated with the noise?

Good luck with that. It's everywhere. Not sure why we have police in this town, they don't do anything about crazy driving.

YES, I am being syndical..... But if you found Topix on the internet to complain about speeders then way couldn't you spend your time more productively and search for the contact info for La Porte Police Department???

I have called to ask for patrol in my neighborhood. I live where they blow through the stop sign repeatedly daily. Rarely see a cop in my neighborhood. And never issuing tickets. I would say donut break

Ok good that you called and I think I see in your reply "I would say donut break" why you probaly did not get the "results" YOU think you need..
you hate reality

complaining to regular cops will get you no results. you need to go in person way up the ladder and voice your complaints. and I do not mean police chief. start way higher than that. and see if you can get the local newspaper to print a article about the speeding. elected officials do not like negative press. see if you can get a tv news crew to come out and film the speeding, and put it on the news.

I have called the LP non- emergency line and they just say okay we will work on getting an officer out there. But still I have never seen it. I have even seen the LPPD supervisor speeding on this street & he never has his lights on. He just likes to because he thinks he can...

Lots of officers within the LPPD don't think traffic laws apply to them.

No doubt it's because of the lack of training they receive from Chief Adcox.

Based on my own observations and the observations of many other citizens of La Porte.

Then say you observe them and be specific on who or how many. You cant physically determine what "they think". Thats like saying all drivers think laws dont apply to them.

A police officer must obey all traffic laws any other citizen is required to obey unless there is an emergency situation or they are responding to an emergency... and then they must have their emergency lights flashing and or their sirens wailing.

A police officer is nothing but a citizen in uniform.

So... You're saying that if I were to walk into LPPD while smoking a joint... you would not say, "He thinks the laws don't apply to him"?
No common sense

Sure go ahead and turn on your lights and sirens when headed to a burglary or theft in progress... Let them know we are coming... Better yet drive the posted speed limit and let them steal more stuff.. Then people will be complaining about Police taking too long to show up. It's a lose lose situation for Officers.

The fuzz in La porte (as well as Pasadena) think they are somehow above the law. I see it almost every day on my commute, a cop speeding, texting and driving, or flashing their lights to pass a red light. It's ok, with the way the government is going now that little badge you hide behind will be nothing more than a few dollars worth of metal.
