What positive steps are you implementing to city improvement this trip?
People are judged by their actions, not there 20,000 plus comments on topix.
And positive word of mouth can be your best friend. Or worst enemy.
I pick up trash whenever I see it in Lp.
That's my contribution. What's yours?
Beyond non stop babble.
I don't see anyone currently on City Council advocating to stop Port encroachment on La Porte.
I don't see anyone currently on City Council looking out for the interests of the people.
All I see on City Council are people advocating for big business, the Port and themselves.
I don't want anything FROM La Porte.
All I want to do is GIVE BACK La Porte as much nature and natural environment as we can squeeze in between all of the chemical plants that surround the city.
We've got to stand-up for ourselves... and demand the Port and surrounding industry be more responsible and work together to improve our air quality.
We've also got to get the fluoride out of our water.
No one has ever been elected to Council that has stood up for the things that cannot stand for themselves... I want to be that person.
I don't want to profit off my position... I have no dreams of a big house or a nice car, a fat bank account or chasing women around.
All I want to do... is improve the world around me, starting with La Porte.
I laid out a 10 year plan to become Mayor of La Porte... just so I can BEGIN.
Becoming Mayor of La Porte... is not my goal... it's my starting point... my finish line hopefully lies years ahead.
I am just in my fifth year of my 10 year plan, Barry Beasley is gone, Ron Bottoms is gone and most importantly John Black is gone.
Unfortunately, the people that replaced them are just slightly better.
We need MAJOR improvements to City Council.
We need people not there for themselves... but people who will serve their position duly and diligently and not be swayed or tempted by money or power.
We need people with time to commit to their position... time to focus on the future of La Porte and not treat it like some part time hobby.
As Mayor, I will be a full time advocate for the city... and I will be totally accessible to the citizens, here, online elsewhere, by telephone 24 hours a day and in person by appointment.
I will work FULL TIME to improve the city of La Porte... on all aspects.
I appreciate that you go around picking up trash wherever you go... I do the same... when I walk around town I carry garbage sacks with me and pick up trash along the way.
We need to encourage more of the citizenry to practice responsible citizenship and stewardship of the land they call home.
We must reach out to the youth, the elderly and everyone in between... because most of the problems that face us as a city... will not be solved by one person... but surely can be solved by us all.
Just take heart... not one of my actions in the last four years has been random.
Everything was planned and executed perfectly.
I am exactly where I planned to be five years ago... doing exactly what I planned to do.
I am about to begin my, "Heavy Fed:WANTED!" tour, every performance will be recorded and available online.
I could not have a "WANTED tour" without being wanted now, could I?
Isn't it convenient and interesting that I am not only wanted by the same law enforcement agency that started me on my path but also the same city I am fighting to rid of corruption?
Things are happening in California... that will effect La Porte in a MAJOR way... all by plan.
Peace, love and a life in harmony,
Heavy Fed
