You can't accept the truth that Mandela was jailed for terrorism, ruled as a communist and drove a beautiful country into anarchy. So all you have left is to call the messenger (me) a racist.

It just proves that you are unwilling to seek the truth in your political opinions. You are no different from the angry old rednecks that you despise.

The truth doesn't satisfy you. So, enjoy your hate.

He was working to over throw a govt. based in part on keeping the majority of the population powerless on their own continent. And his govt. went into power peacefully and democratically. And his new constitution included healthcare for all. I believe he was an agent of change, not a tyrant.

Dear Elaine, if you think Mandela ruled as a communist,,you don't know what a communist is. Have you not heard of the diamond and gold mining industries of South Africa? They are the largest in the world and not run by the government.

It is still a beautiful country and it is now a much freer society. Elaine why do you hate freedom?

By the way Elaine, every time you shop at Wal-Mart you support communism. China is America's biggest financial foe and one of the last bastions of Communism left in the world. While communism has evolved in China, it is still very much alive there.

People who fight for freedom in their own countries are often accused of terrorism.

How do you think the Israelis drove the British out? Let's just say car bombs played a big role. How did the Irish drive the English out of most of their country? Algeria and the French? Vietnamese and both the French and USA? The French underground in WW 2? The Warsaw "uprising"? Merrill' s marauders? All freedom fighters who could also be called terrorists, depending on perspective.

The Afghans and the Soviet Union? The last one we funded and trained the terrorists who drove the Soviets out. Ron Paul talked about this one when he talked about "blowback" and how it came back to haunt us.

I shouldn't be surprised by your support of apartheid, you have been very consistent in these areas.

It takes real leadership skills to accept help from communist countries in overthrowing a tyrannical government and end up with a democratic free state. Nelson Mandela did that and is now respected by all, even the communist leaders of today. I think it is interesting that Mandela was not a Martyr to a cause, instead he was a Hero to the cause.

No one is perfect, no one. Was he respected by all? No he wasn't. No one is. He was a head of state, which was the reason many world leaders were in attendence. It was expected of them. He has died, allow him to rest in peace.

Attendance to this event allows all heads of state a "Get Out Of Jail" card on racism. After the ceremony they will divvy up the country's minerals and oil rights.

Yes. Sometimes there isn't a monetary payoff. Sometimes it's just respect.

You do know Mandela was their leader back in the 90's? His death has no effect on the diamond and gold mines. I listened to Rush bad mouth Mandela this morning,so I see where you get your ideas. I know you use Drudge,O'keefe and others on the extreme far right.

Interesting fact that Reagan and M.Thatcher both supported apartheid. The great communicator apparently not a big fan of other people's freedom. He considered south africa(with apartheid) a great example of democracy. He also cut funding for aids research too. He felt the "gays" brought it upon themselves. He also tried to end hemophilia through aids,it was their own fault, they shouldn't have been born with a hereditary disease.

I don't think Reagan or Thatcher supported apartheid, but they knew Mandela to be a communist, and believed him a terrorist. But I will say one mans terrorist can be another mans patriot. While I will not call Mandela a terrorist he was most definatly a communist, and as such I can not hold him in respect, but at the same time I shall not be disrespectful of him in his death. It reminds me of a line from Julius Cesear "The evil that men do lives after them, the good is oft intered with their bones" Such is it with Nelson Mandela. He has died let him rest in peace.
