A woman responding to a knock at the door about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday was the victim of a home invasion robbery.
When she answered the door of her residence in the 10 bock of Charles Avenue, two men forced their way into her home, according to police reports. Detective Aaron Crowell, public information officer for the Baytown Police Department, said one of the men was armed with a black handgun.
The men tied the womanís hands behind her back, but did not injure her, Crowell said. The only thing reported stolen in the robbery was the victimís cell phone.
Crowell said there was also a 7-year-old child in the townhome at the time of the robbery, but he was in a back room and was not involved.
One man was described as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6-feet tall and weighing about 150-200 pounds, with dark skin and a light mustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark cargo-style shorts.
The other was described as a black man, age unknown, about 6-feet tall and weighing about 150-200 pounds and wearing a brown ski mask.
