And just so youll know because im sure many of you have been out off school for awhile, MOST teachers dont care about teaching anymore(im not blaming them for how i type) but they are worried more about dress code, and Oh that fourteen year old looks so cute whens she pregnant, i have 3 younger brothers that where never taught how to write in cursive, and one is 9 that was never taught in Kindergraten how to tie his shoes. so im sure youll know that im not the dullest light bulb out there.
I think (hope) were missing the point. Back when I was in school (way back when) teaching was a calling, like being a police officer or a fireman. but now days when people can't get a job in the field they were wanting. They go teach, or be a police officer. I have a son that is 14 and a daughter that is 19 there are kids that went to school with my daughter, teaching my son. Their home pages look like myspace pages. I’m not saying they shouldn’t teach but I would think they would at least be teaching elementary school. Every year I get a letter from the school stating the at least one of his teachers aren't certified to teach in one or more classes they are teaching. Now don't get me wrong I know there are some great teachers out there. But there or just as many that are not.

I am going out on a limb here, I personally dont think it is the teachers fault. Although a portion is, its at home where learning and teaching starts. My seven year old knows what the most important thing in her life is now, that her education. A teacher can only do so much, we as parents have to pick up where they leave off. No one os perfect, but when we see people in and out of highschool who can not type a legiable statement. I can not put all of that on the teachers. The reason this blog was started was the five teens who beat another teen to death. I actually have fun reading these blogs. I do pick on people, but they open themselves up for it. As far as the five boys in jail, I hope they rot in there. "You cant fix stupid"- that is the phrase of the day. I will start a new topic today just to see how many people will enter and blog, it will be based on education. Beware people will be watching for grammar!

Yep - teachers aren't teaching, uh-huh. Could it be because they are teaching kids to tie their shoes and wasting time monitoring kids vulgar clothes - things PARENTS SHOULD BE DOING!
I think teachers have their hands full dealing with issues that should have been addressed and taught at home. I could never be a teacher. If only they could just focus on teaching, but they have to deal with all the other crap that interferes with the classroom. God bless them for hanging in there.

Thanks LP Dad for starting a new blog on this. I am very interested in hearing other opinions on this. Since I believe kids deeply want love, acceptance, and approval more than anything, many,(possibly most) do not get it at home. Kids know if someone really cares about them and I believe a caring teacher, with just a little personal attention, interest, and encouragement can motivate and inspire a child to reach new heights. Speaking from my own personal experience, of course. Probably all of us have had good and bad teachers. And once-in-a-while, some or at least a few of us had 'super' or 'phenomenal' teachers.

I do agree, with you but: its hard for teachers to care when the kids show no intrest at all. If the parents could only see how their little angels behave at school

That's true. I really have no idea what it is like in school today. I know if we misbehaved we could get suspended, detention or even spanked. Now though I'm not sure if the kids get any punishment at all anymore. I hope a lot of people will weigh in on this since I would like to know what is really happening in the schools today.

Our youngsters today have no respect for authority at all. They'll be learning some very difficult lessons in the future.

You need rto be more specific, there are lots of kids that are repectful. There are lots though that have no respect at all. These are the ones who will be and are locked up or dead. KIDS GET A GRIP, DO SOMETHING POSITIVE WITH YOUR LIFE. I personally will not put up with b!@#$^%#$t from no punk kid. If they wake up and realize how stupid they act they will see it from our side. Half of the kids posting all that crap on here quit after we critized them. I feel as if I am repeating myself on here but if that is what it takes than so be it. I will type till my fingers bleed if it helps!

You know I watch and read these post and some of you need to learn how to read write and speak so other can know what you are saying. So I take it that some of you on here think that these guys should go scott free with out any punishment. That is wrong in every way. If they do the crime then they should do the time. Just my opinion.

One problem with your post, although it was very funny... The word 'punctuations' is too long of a word and spelled properly. Your intelligence slipped out.
