I am definitely not a fan of Jeff Pound. I know him too well and watched and listened to him do exactly what he is accusing others of doing. Bashing others' characher. Only Mr. Pound does it on a daily basis and has been doing it long before he got into politics. You see, he gets his laughs by poking fun of others. He is always in need of an audience to validate that he matters. He gets those laughs through mean-spirited acts. It's very sad see such a big stature of a man have such a small self-esteem. Now, with that to say, I hope he wins Mayor of Deer Park but not for the reasons you probably do. I hope he wins for one of 2 reasons. 1) Either he will be exposed for who he really is once the election is over and he has to face decision and people where he cannot hold his hot head together. Or 2) He has to fake it for the entire time he is mayor and hopefully then some of the goodess that he's having to fake will rub off on him and he will stop humiliating his family.
sounds like a plan, vote for Pound.

I've read negatives comments about all candidates running for mayor on this Topix. I think we get your negative views on Pound. Are you referring to the negative comments on Facebook?
Funny you would mention that. All the comments and questions on JM's FB page are now gone. I think the page is now set up to simply view. I wish this would be a clean race. The negative comments about Jeff may harm Jerry in the end. People are getting tired of it. Now that I'm back working, I see DP residents everyday. It is a hot topic about the negativity and people are being turned off by it. This is not a negative comment, just truth, I have run into many people who were turned off JM did not attend job interview. One man told me his son had put a sign in his yard and told him he needed to vote for JM because he'd be the best man for the job. He said he went to the hotel that night to meet him. He was so mad he wasn't there, and after event went home and jerked up the sign and put a Pound sign in it's place (all the candidates had signs, brochures, etc at the event). Out of the two who were interviewed for mayor, he said Jeff did great and he would definitely hire him.

Not supporting anyone how wants big government. The 4B grows government. Pound is not running against Boles. I'm looking at each position separately.

I realize that, I only mentioned Boles showing up as an example of no excuses to not attend a job interview. Each position should be looked at separately. Sorry if my post was confusing...

Unfortunately when the union hall closed, the special coffee pot that made the coffee was given to one of my employees as a token. How I miss that special coffee. I know am back at work, which was where I had my first job at the age of 16, at The Health Nut on Center. Good to see some old Hwre store customers and nice to visit with lots of DP residents. I am working for a wonderful lady and loving it. No coffee, but drop by for some tea! Lol

Dear Larry, I suppose your tow truck driver mentality allows you to think its ok to insult good ole boy Jeff, but the truth is that the only way you could EVER win an election would be by using underhanded attacks such as what you have done (above).
You are a scummmm and nothing will change that.
I'm willing to bet that you would run over your own brother with your truck if you could so you could get your own way..... Oh wait, that already happened....
Unfortunatelly you are about as low as it gets, but you still have a few numskulls that think you cant do no wrong.
Why dont you go back to your hole and try to think of new ways you can overcharge your customers.
Why don't you come out of the basement & face Jeff. You have a set of Balls the size of a mustard & the other one is a little one needle dick.

I can't believe, that as adults, all of you are carrying on this way. No wonder there are children in this community with such disrespect and so hardened to other people's feelings...they are being raised by bitter, trash talking, bullis who are considered grown ups. There is such a way to dispute and even defend comments with respect for others.

Being one who has been attacked with slanderous statements when I ran for city council I agree with you. I do my best, when speaking out, to use facts such as statements candidates have said and or open records when commenting on city officials/policies, numbers, etc.

Recently I had a conversation with one of the city council members and told him that the trashing of candidate, and their family, must stop. It has gone too far, and I for one will do my best to put a stop to it.

Voting will help in turning this city around, the city needs a record turn out this year!

Excuse me, but the majority of the voters were against the 4B or type B, so why do you have such a hard time of understanding that the majority were AGAINST this tax! Get off your attack mode and suck it up, the voters didn't want it. Get over yourself.
