Rhonda needs to step down. She is not doing it for the sake of the "players"! She doing this for her own benefit . And her attitude is horrible.
What is the benefit that she is getting from it? Also, if you want to call someone out by name and ask that they step down have "a big enough pair" to include your name in the statement. If you want this person gone so badly go to a board meeting and request it there. Not here!

I was also at the draft, I know the manager of the Phillies and I also know the coach who was there drafting. I am friends with the other coach/manager who came over from DP to this league. I have been at the last 3 drafts and at every single one a rule is broken and nothing is said. The president of the league started off this years draft by saying that all managers had to freeze their own child, he then went on to "Thank all of the managers because everyone did that and he was happy that they all went and froze their own kid". So what the coach of the Phillies did was by no way against any rule and several of the board members even said as much. Now the player agent completly lost her cool and started to yell and act very childish and it was not long before most everyone else started in. Like I said I know the Phillies coach and he did nothing but stay calm and kept his composure the entire time I don't think he even raised his voice. The league went down his list of players and took the first 6 year old he drafted. It is really a shame because this coach sacrifices his time (just like all the other coaches) he takes time away from attending activites for his older son also to be with these kids. All they did was embarress and humiliate him and I felt bad for him, But all he did at the end was smile and did whatever it was the league told him to do.

Do away with the trades and you keep new coaches from getting taken to the cleaners by older coaches that are less interested in "coaching" up a team then they are "stacking" a team. There is a place for that kind of thinking...it's called select ball. Stack a team and go up against another stacked team in SELECT ball. This is league ball. Same thing happened in the Mustang draft and noone batted an eye. A snake of a coach stole the number one rated player in the mustang draft from another coach who was either too green to deny him the request or too eager to be accepted into the clique to protest, either way...it was unfair and the board did nothing about it. This Patterson guy is still unethical and should have been banned from being around the ballpark several years ago. Something weird about a single, grown man hanging around kids, without showing the hint of having his own life. I think they actually profile these type of people in a not-so-positive light. Just saying.

You are pathetic to post such a post. You'd better tread lightly 'cause what you are saying is bordering on defaming Heath Patterson. I have been in the league for years and years. I was there when Heath was playing himself and am still there now. He is not his father's son. I didn't agree with how his father has conducted himself from when he was a coach to how he has acted as a member of the board. But, I have never seen Heath conduct himself any way but honorable. He has been honest and fair from what I have seen and for you to imply what you are implying, is despicable. There are a few people that are out there that have no kids playing and just enjoy it and miss it once their kids have outgrown LPBBA. You are pathetic.

This cheating has been going on forever in LPBBA. All of you keep talking about Shipwash like he is someone terrible. My son got hit in the face with the ball and laid him out on the field. Shipwash was one of the first on the field tending to my son (by the way, he was just watching the game...not coaching). Shipwash called to see how he was doing and always went out of his way to talk to my son when they saw each other. This incident was reported to the LPBBBA and not a single board member called or even asked how he was. I have coached against Shipwash on several occasions and have never heard anything but positive words come from him. The ones of you that are complaining...get involved.

Heath, you weren't even there so pipe down!!! This is the 2nd time this guy has tried to manipulate the system to stack a team. It is the 2nd time he's taken advantage of an inexperienced assistant coach by cheating the system, and this time he is not getting off easy. We hear all the time that teams are stacked, and here is the Board doing what they can to prevent it, and again with the same "so called Coach" and enough is enough. Last year his victim was a manager who was at her mother's funeral, and this year, a new manager's wife from Deer Park, new to La Porte baseball and look at the example he is setting for LPBBA. We should praise the work the Board is doing to prevent people like him from "stacking" a team and keeping it fair and fun for all. This manager hides behind the philosophy that "it's for the kids" when really his ONLY intent is "win baby win" and it does not matter at who's expense - PERIOD. P.S - He offered the equipment, not asked to be borrowed and he reneged on his offer - JUST SO YOU KNOW
Just saw this thread, very funny. Anonymity is your only friend is all I can say!
By the way, the league did use ALL the equipment I had offered, after they agreed to the few stipulations I had using the piece of equipment.
I can say that Melissa O Donnel was the only one that thought I reneged, so sometimes you should just put your name on it.
The good thing is I don't have to deal with you idiots on any level!
