Should anyone running for political office have to take a polygraph ?

Why not?. The rest of us out here in the real world have to jump through hoops to land a measly J.O.B., never mind an important position of government.
Of course, it's painfully clear that we have a government of the rich, for the rich and by the rich. Our betters don't need any scrutiny.

Let me pick your brain a bit. Which ones do you think should take poly? Local, state? What questions would you like answered? What purpose would it serve exactly?

I think an important question to ask would be : Who would be administering the test and deciding what questions were asked and what answers would be acceptable.
