Send all the Illegals back to Mexico. The only true way to clean up the South Side. Children of Illegals are already bringing on a financial crisis to MPS. Enoughs enough.

Police say that "If you commit a gang crime they know where to find you." However, in the story they said they didn't find the gang member who committed the robbery, just his gun. They also said they are not making a dent in the gangs. That isn't encouraging. This story was sugar coated lies.

Dexter said, "Send all the Illegals back to Mexico. The only true way to clean up the South Side. Children of Illegals are already bringing on a financial crisis to MPS."
There is an array of problems with that statement. First of all, a bulk of the Hispanic community is here legally. The percentage of illegal immigrants is scant.
Secondly, MPS does not allow illegal immigrants to enroll in school. You need temporary citizenship at the least, to be part of the school system.
Third, I teach in MPS and I have been to numerous schools. In my varied travels I can attest to the fact that the Hispanic children I teach are by far the most polite and productive. Their families are also the most involved.
Lastly, MPS has money woes because of numerous problems that create a circle of consumption and chaos. MPS has plenty of money if the money is allocated correctly. They foolishly spend their money on multi- thousand dollar smart boards and varied other expensive technology that only serves to enable our children further. Children learn for a dollar a day in some of the poorest countries in the world. It is a matter of the child's willingness to learn that impacts the quality of their education. The funding, teachers, buildings, and helpers are all in the place they need to be to succeed in the educational world. The only way the schools will rectify themselves is when the city finds a way to bind the racial wounds that have been created from a city too segregated to
co- mingle, even in bars and eateries.

WEAC also takes a major chunk out of the MPS overall budget.

Yeah Response to Dexter you pretty much negated your arguing ability when you admitted to being an MPS teacher. MPS would have more money if you guys would take a cut in your amazing benefit plans or stop pushing to get your domestic partners benefits. I digress.

I agree with Dexter. DEPORT these fools. Get them out of here, so they can stop taking taxpayer money for free health care, and other benefits. I'd rather give the millions of dollars we spent to help illegals to the Haitian effort.

You negated your argument when you both posted barely literate responses. I'd argue my point, but it'd be like philosophizing to a dog. If you have not worked in the public schools in the last decade then your opinion of the public schools are entirely baseless. You have no idea how dangerous and difficult our jobs are. We are dealing with a hostile generation of inner city youths that have no qualms when it comes to injuring or even killing an adult. These children are the same children that have gang beaten elderly people.
Teachers are not overpaid. 36,000 a year for a job that requires a bachelor's degree and a state license is reasonable. The benefit plan is amazing and we should be paying $25.00 a month for single and $50.00 a month for family. You assume every MPS teacher is a greedy and shiftless troll out to devour the bones of the community. That is foolish and misinformed. The teachers are for a large part very good and we give away the best parts of ourselves just so we can make the future of the city a little less awful. What do you do to better the world around you besides blog ignorant comments? All of your opinions stated in your posting are amazingly detached from a feasibility and reality standpoint. I am ashamed for you.
