Before you say no one will vote for Bonnie, please note she has almost three times the amount in "under $99" contributions. I like to think this means she will do quite well next month.

the reason the alternative thinkers are contributing to Bonnie, is that she works to maintain small, local businesses.

she is more likely to argue against big box stores and the infrastructure than mainly serves their interests.

The "dope growers" in the south of the county have an independent economy and aren't so desperate to bend over and say "anything you want, just dont take my kid's insurance." We need to become more, not less, independent economically. We need to strengthen our local businesses before we move in national competition.

Besides, because of our isolation, there is something very different in Humboldt county. if you want Santa Rosa, that's very easy to find. It is everywhere, all over the country. If you want it, you should have it: I'll help you move.

But can we please leave one place that has some of its original personality left?

Dope money???? Grower support????? Behind this Redwood Curtain we have the Haves & the Have nots! Let's get a little more retail & few more dead end jobs up here.
Does the Bass bunch really think the public is that stupid???? It is so sad that Humboldt has been reduced to the "grow it" or "build it" groups. Neither, by the way are going to solve our problems. Will things change this election? That all depends if public is getting tired with the good ol' boy & company town regimens. Only in Eureka would something like prop. N get on the ballot. But hey, if it makes everyone feel warm & fuzzy , go for it. It doesn't solve anything, but at least you got to vote!
Neeley has gained the influence we need up here. She certainly has the experience & knowledge. Bass, well she does take a nice picture, doesn't she. I guess come November the public will decide which fix will work.
C'mon Sue...are you really that dense?

Your anger has twisted you judgement. That's assuming you had much in the first place. You only seem to be good at one thing and that's condeming the people who don't go along with your hysterical rants.

Bonny's experience has given us just what in 24 years?

She's bought and paid for by outside developers who want her Coastal Commission vote or do all those outside interests really care about Eureka. It's got nothing to do with the have nots here oh yes there is that little local hardware store owner who doesn't want any competition. Cripes lady....you take the cake.

You keep threatening to leave here everytime you don't get your way at the council meetings....I'll help you pack.

I don't want Santa Rosa, but I don't want want Appalachia either. The kind of "personality" Eureka is developing is that of a S*%# hole. I've lived in Eureka for 50 years and there is nothing "original" about the disgusting turn of events that is ruining my home town. The time to stop the descent into hell has arrived with this election.

Yeah, but her major contributors are SoHum and out of the county people. What does that say. Only 1 Eureka business[amazingly Bill Pierson] contributed and since Eureka makes up most of the fourth district does not show well for her support of local business issues. She has totally lost touch with the local scene but then when you spend most of your time away from your district this is what you get.

Neely is and always has been a criminal, but for some reason she Wins every time she runs. This lady is going on 30 years in that seat. Its sad we lost the Home Depot (if thats true that they pulled out of the Marina Center) Marina Center Will happen, stupid idiots are just going to make it so only junky business are left to go there because all the good ones wont put up with backwoods humboldt county drama, then when all we can have is a wallmart, the haters will blame the Arkleys for that too. Should have put a kick butt Home Depot in there a long time ago. Keep votin Neely you Mindless Dribble

DEVIL has a serious inferiority complex with Pierson

Maybe its because his "Citizens for a better Eureka" failed so miserably

Senitor Bonnie,Alot of people have a problem with Piersons. The amount of money he throws at Neely is a joke. The only major contributor in this area. Look at all the businesses that support Bass in Eureka. There is a reason, but thats probably way over your head. Shop Ace Hardware!!!

You remind me of Brian Mitchell at SNSC

There is nothing that conservatives hate than a democrat with money. Especially all the tools at Security National.

Need to vote by checking out a candidates policies and character.

Redevelopment $500,000 mess. That was Bonnie.

Toobey Ranch many thousands of dollars. Bonnie.

Tammy Falor $250,000. Bonnie.

Longetivity pay for Supervisors? Bonnie.

And the list goes on and on.

Character? Tens of thousands of dollars in donations from gambling and drugs. That would be Bonnie.

Waiting for the lefties to reply.

Time for Neely to just go away. We can no longer afford any more of her back room dealing. I want someone who is going to care about me and my family first for a change. Look at the giant payoffs she collects from out of town and from the Casino who doesn't even pay taxes like the rest of us have to. Anybody but Bonnie.

the descent into hell you write of is a huge problem that will not be improved by big box stores. unemployment and speed are the trouble. she is pro-legalization which will free law enforcement to foucs on the meth!
she supports local manufacturing jobs which are supportive of the local economy--working to reverse the economic slide into hell which makes speed so attractive.
if we want to improve Eureka's cultural climate: get people working at jobs that support families: big boxes do not fill that criteria. Making the pulp mill available for green paper (using non-wood pulp) would help make that a reality.

i am sliding off topic, but lets just wrap up saying: home depot will not get you into heaven.

Show me where she supports local manufacturing jobs. For probably the last 10 yrs or so I haven't seen her support anything except the coastal commission and red tape that creates a hostile environment for anyone to come here with any type of manufacturing or service oriented business. For the most part it seems that she spends most of her time out of the county. She certainly does not devote any time to the city of Eureka as evidenced by her lack of attendance at council meetings. Eureka makes up the largest portion of the 4th district so it's supervisor should be present and informed in city matters which Bonnie is neither. Bonnie is just here to collect a county check and then a fat pension.
