Single payer doesn't work well if you get sick. And our system is not built for socialized medicine. But the kool-Aid has been imbibed and folks up here feel they deserve their neighbors money, it's their "right".

Question about information not reported - probably by design.
1. What kind of Doctors are they?
2. If they are Medical Doctors, why aren't they practicing?
3. Who is sponsoring their tour?
4. Who sponsored the local get together at the Grange.

Might give us a better picture of who thee Dr.s are.

Why do they go to the quad at HSU to speak.
Answer: to preach to the choir but more importantly the cameras are rolling with a sympathetic audience.

This is called a staged show for the press. No mention by the Press who put it on.

You know, the same grass roots people that support the tea baggers. The Koch brothers, Coors and the rest of the usual right wing suspects. Wait a minute. These guys actually want to help their fellow American citizens. Well scratch that then, it can't be the tea bagging folks. As long as they're getting the message out, what do you care.

Yea, they said that in Canada too. Now they have a great single payer system.

Any doctor who takes their oath seriously would be doing 1/3 of there work as charity. In fact any non profit hospital to maintain their non profit status is to do the same.

The United States is the only developed country without universal health care. We'll probably never have it because of attitudes like this.

So, universal health care didn't work in many other countries, but we are going to be different? Hehehe! Gees!

Great point! I took the time to see if they were licensed by the State of California as Medical Doctors. Neither had a License posted under those names.

Now, let's have others do some research and post it. Tired of being jerked around by the media and and jerks looking for bucks!

HSU is a great venue for "Dumb as hell Doctors".

Once they start to spew libtardic excrement out of their mouths in front of the cheering crowd of Obamamites, it is possible that a REAL doctor might step in........recognizing that these "docturds" are ones who are sick and need to have their mouths wiped with toilet paper.

where they often have to send pregnant women to other provinces or to the US to give birth. And when they need surgery or an MRI they come to the states. Your argument is untenable.

I really doubt that.

However, you may have a point. When one lives in the boonies one needs to travel if there is care needed that can't be found at home. Like.... here for instance. I imagine the same may be true for Canada, which is just loaded with boonies. And if you live in a boonie close to the US border, and have an emergency, guess where you are likely to end up? Could it be some Americans wind up in Canadian hospitals for the same reason?

From everything I have seen and heard (admittedly not a scientific sampling) the Canadians get just as good care as most Americans, and better than the millions of Americans without health insurance.

The rich Canadians will come to the United States for some additional customer service perhaps.

Domino 21: Do you have an unbiased study that compares Canada’s health coverage unfavorably to United States health coverage?

One of the best things about future growth in Humboldt County by Baby Boomer Retirees moving up here is they will "demand" better health care, like they have in the cities they are leaving and making a positive choice to move up here and live next to all our fabulous Redwood Parks and the Headwaters Reserve. The redwood forests are one reason I live here and I'm telling my relatives this is where you can visit redwood groves and hike in the wilderness just a short drive from Eureka. As more people move here is will help us all get better health care as more "old farts" with "pre-existing" medical conditions move to the Redwood Empire behind the Redwood Curtain and find out that they need better medical care providers. A benefit of growth to be sure, which will benefit all of us in the long run!

Growth is a good thing!

I'm glad these doctors are doing this. The people of this country needs to wake up to deal with this real and very serious problem. The insurance industry has been very effective in spreading false information about healthcare reform. Many honest US citizens have been fooled into believe that universal healthcare is some form of socialistic evil. It's far from it. I see no countries with universal healthcare talk about repealing it and replace it with employer provided private insurance.

Ask any Canadian if they would rather give up their UHC for the American crappy version of getting their basic health care at the ER. Because they don't have, or can't get health insurance.
BTW Alaskans go to Canada for their healthcare visits, go figure!
