The problem with Karen Brooks is that she is a tea bagger whose far-right political positions are too extreme for the district. I mean she makes Christine O'Donnell look like the Dalai Lama. She is anti pro choice, she opposes the right of same-sex couples to marry, she doesn't want sex education in the schools and she feels that Southern California corporate farms are more entitled to water from the Klamath and Trinity rivers than we are - the people she wants to represent. She kicked off her campaign by having her husband tell an insulting Obama joke, which was reported in this newspaper. Even in this anti-incumbent climate, I will be shocked if she gets more than 35 percent of the vote.

Mr. Chesbro is a powerful incumbent who knows the issues well due to his long-time position. He will easiy sweep election again.

Americans are increasingly disgusted with government "controls" over daily life. Small businesses are smothered with paperwork required by the state and federal governments.

Let's search for people who want the government to back off and leave citizens alone!

Americans are fully capable to take care of themselves and take care on one another without government intervention.

Let's elect an assemblywoman who wants to cut costs, red tape and challenge citizens to take care of themselves and one another.

If I could pick the winner in one local race it would be Karen Brooks for state assembly. Chesbro epitomizes the corruption and moral bankruptcy that is California politics today.
