Uhhh...yes, he was. The original story, last year, specifically stated that he had not been back to his mother country in "x" number of years and it was so upsetting that when his mother was sick with cancer he was unable to go home to visit her because he was afraid he would not be able to get back in to this country. Legal residents don't have that concern.

Whenever someone is a legal immigrant, they'll talk about how he/she came here -- what type of visa and/or who sponsored the person, etc. They never say "so he traveled to the United States." Duh! That makes it quite obvious he came to visit his brother and never left.

Well, this is just speculation, unless you can give me proof that he was illegal, his death will have nothing to do with that, and it shouldn't. Those kids killed him because he "looked" hispanic. Do you think they asked him for ID or asked if he was legal before they killed him? Very unlikely. Suppose the following example. A white hispanic comes here ILLEGALLY. No one knows or suspects he is illegal much less think that he is even hispanic because most North Americans don't even know that there are white hispanics, which is ignorant. Anyways, suppose a "typical looking" hispanic comes here LEGALLY. What are the chances that the "typical looking" LEGAL hispanic gets murdered in a hate crime in relation to the white hispanic despite the fact that he is illegal? Very high. Considering most of these hate crimes are probably committed by ignorant people, it wouldn't be surprising. The point is that a human being murdered in cold blood and the assailants should be punished, that's all there is to it.

but in the case of those kids, that had NOTHING to do with illegal immigrants!
