That's an interesting old saw, Oldtimer. But I assume nothing and merely state what experience and the realities of cop behavior as reported here and elsewhere have taught me. For you to respond the way you have, you clearly have no rebuttal whatsoever, other than to resort to silly cliched maxims... perhaps another cop characteristic?
You were making an assumption so the cliched maxim was appropriate. I believe I have a little more knowledge , than you, about some of the happenings in the Public Safety Building. One of my relatives was a career criminal. You know, stuff like armed robbery, and bank robbery. He knew the cops that arrested him and they knew him, He was also a bookie and the cops would place bets with him, but when he got caught, they would stop the elevatot between floors of the old public safety building and beat him below the waist, till he confessed. They knew he did it, he knew they knew he did it, so they saved the cost of a trial. When he got out, they would again come by to place bets. What I am saying is the old time cops could be brutal, but had common sense. The present day policing method is to " Take Charge of The Situation" , but seldom use common sense. I'll take the old way any day !

What you describe is police brutality and torture. I'm glad to have your confirmation of everything I've heard and experienced from the beasts in blue. My question is, when will the crooks in uniform receive justice?

What you call brutality, I call prctical justice. Unfortunately, that is not what goes on any more.

I imagine you'll keep that opinion of "prctical justice" until it happens to you or your loved ones. Those of us who actually respect the Constitution of the United States of America don't share your opinion.

It has happened to my loved ones, but you know what; they had it coming. Why are you hiding behind the constitution. Your all encompassing " those of us who love the constitution" are the words of a demagogue.

We have to pay attention to the US Constitution. Or socialists might start using sex abuse to deny people their pensions.

It's a lot cheaper to put people in Prison when the democrats spend pension funds on healthcare for illegals.

Is that what I'm doing? Huh! I just thought the Constitution of the United States of America was supposed to be applied equally to all. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

This man received less than 6 months time. The family hired and payed for this pedophiles attorney and made a deal, the judge really had not say. The mom and dad (pedophile) are still married. The grandparents were missionaries and knew their son had even abused his sister growing up. They all protected him and burned everyone who stood against it (including family). The judge made it seem as if the women were not vindictive, complete lie, they were just following orders and I know personally they wanted him to serve at the LEAST 2-3 years. This is what you call bondage. Sick family, glad to be away from it.
