At 48, Bayonne Mayor Mark Smith stands to collect nearly $9,000 a month in pension payments, after 25 years and 10 months of service with the Police Department, while earning $72,000 a year as the city's mayor.

i see nothing wrong in that he paid into it he should receive it just like everyone else

No problem with this. As long as it is not a disability pension and he is now doing physical work.
I am more concerned with all the fake disability pensions. I met a 19yr old who told me he was waiting for his SSI/disability to start. I inquired how he was injured. He informed me he suffers from Carpal Tunnel syndrome from his 6 mos of employment at BJ's wholesale. Give me a break!
