The Governor Christie said:

New Jersey-ands sent "an extraordinarily clear signal," and the Democrat-controlled Legislature and local elected officials

Cupo said Bayonne, Take heed of this message Bayonne

He the governor urged municipal governing bodies, school boards and local teachers’ unions to work together to implement a one-year wage freeze.

Median tax bills in six Garden State counties are among the 10 highest in all of America. As a share of income, levies in Passaic and Essex lead the nation -- with Bergen, Union, Hunterdon and Hudson not far behind.
Cupo said “Bayonne‘s taxes are 50% higher then the rest of the state”
School boards -- and teachers unions that refused concessions -- must have been dreaming if they thought voters would rubber-stamp tax hikes yet again.
No, this time taxpayers were paying ... attention.
Cupo said” Bayonne does not need any Rubber Stamps new council people supported by the Mayor”
Rather, it was part of a national tax revolt that gave rise to the Tea Party movement and stunning GOP wins in places like Virginia, Massachusetts and even New York.

Indeed, the anti-tax spirit is showing no signs of wavering, even as this fall's elections near. As Christie said, polls "ignore these results at their own political peril."

Cupo said “any one who votes for a tax increase should not be elected. All elected must cut, there towns budget to the bone.
