Has anyone else noticed the crime growing in Bagley? I don't know if anyone has heard about the homes that have been broken into over the last few months or not? You add the vandalisms to that and I'd say we're becoming too much like the bigger towns here. I have heard from many other Bagley people that the local law enforcement is doing little to nothing about the growing problem! The kids are running wild, staying out all hours of the night. Many people's windows have been broken by local teens and there doesn't seem to be any parents taking credit for these kids? What is happening to Bagley?

I agree 100%, Bagley is going down hill and fast! The city council members seem too busy fussing about park bathrooms and putting down more useless gravel on the paved roads. I assume part of the problem is their own children are some of the teens in question. It's always easier to point the attention away from the problem when it's involving your own parenting, I guess?
I say we start to fight back, as a community! They is too many home owners in this town to just let them have the whole damn town! Does anyone have any ideas, maybe a Block Watch Program?

Yes I also agree with you! The council's children are many times involved with the local crime, but it's been like that for many years now. I've heard of people trying to talk to them about their children, but the bottle seems to be an issue in many of their homes. It's an endless battle.
As far as a Block Watch, that sounds like a great idea! I also heard of a few people setting up cameras in their windows, to catch the crimes taking place. The only problem with that is trying to get the local police to take action, after viewing the crimes. I know of one woman that got pictures, but since it also had some of the council's children in it... they dropped it. Maybe the Des Moines News would take the problem to heart?

Crime Is EVERYWHERE !!!Bagley is like every other small town... Kids do what they learn from thier parents learned behavior. Plus we have people are moving here to get away from trouble they caused for themselves little do they realize that trouble dose not get left behind it follows them. So now we got so called gang members trying to live the life they left behind here. Boozing and selling drugs to our kids and family members. We need jobs that put parents to work during the day so the children have the supervission they need at night. It is hard for a single parent who has to work night to support thier family and watch thier kids at the same time thus leaving them to do whatever drugs, booze, vandelism, robbing. I work at a local gas station on weekends night "shift" and often hear these teens making plans on where they area all going to meet up for the party. Some teens come in already buzzed. They are not old enough to buy but yet they get it. Prevention starts at a early age.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Leo

If you're worried about running up big debts in what is usually one of the most expensive months of the year, start keeping a running total of how much money you've spent so far. You might have to restrict the amount you spend on Christmas presents, or make other savings in order to stay within your budget, but you realize the folly of ending up severely out of pocket.
