No need to be RUDE Mr. MY SAY SO...
I do agree that non-law abiding citizens complain about our justice system ALOT more. But i do not think you have the right to tell anyone to shut up. Uniform or not. Respect ALL humans as humans. No matter what they have done, they have a dignity and because we all have a dignity we ALL deserve to be treated with respect. That category covers criminals yu arrest all the way to your grandma

Just check out the article in "April '09" about the zoning problem in the Kiln directly involving a public official. The issue was swept under the rug because of who it involved, put a "no tresspassing" sign on the property and the county officials refuse to go in to check. The problem is not just confined to one branch of government. WAKE UP HANCOCK COUNTY!

ok. EPA locates temporary trailer park on Firetower Road for pay after Katrina. The property belongs to Supervisor Seymour's mother in law. After EPA left the property should go back to farm land but a commercial travel trailer park was built with no health department approval for the sewage or no zoning change from farm land to trailer park. When questioned, the residents stated that Supervisor Seymour was running the trailer park and collecting the rent. Most of the trailers were substandard with outside washing machines running into the road, etc. You get the picture. AFter zoning board hearings the unauthorized trailer park was ordered shut down but current census records indicate that five trailers remain despite repeated orders to close it down completely.

Ricky Adams and Ernest Taylor are the only two names I've heard.

Ernest Taylor would be a disaster. He took a job with a State Agency and I believe he then filed a lawsuit against the city for discrimination.

Why would he be a disaster? Is it because he wasn't "brown Nosing" like most of the dept, And next time do some research before you post about something you know nothing about, The discrimination suit was filed long before Ernest left Bay PD.

Isn't Adams a Judge? He's never been a cop! Steve at least went to the police academy and did work the road.
I thought Tommy Carver was going to run. He's not a cop either.
Taylor was cop in the Bay and works for the state now.
I hope someone with expierence runs. Wouldn't that be nice for a change.

Disaster how? What would you call the current administration? And he did not file a lawsuit; he filed a complaint with the EEOC. It wasn't about race either, it was for retaliation. I would just like to see someone with experience for once as well.

Seems like the ones who complain the most are those who constantly get in trouble with the law, just a thought.

For the record Taylor has never been in trouble with the law, and that's just a fact.

I just got back from the baseball game. GO ROCKS! While there we were talking and I was told that some guy named Billy Wayne Ladner was running. Anyone know him?
Ricky Adams, Ernest Taylor and Ricky Fayard were named. Taylor and Fayard are the only two with real law enforcement experience. I'd love to see a good debate. That would help a lot.

Billy Wayne Ladner as sheriff?! That's funny right there, I don't care who you are. Talk about jumping out of the frying pan & into the fire!

Yep you right there! Ole Billy Wayne is a good old boy sure enough but Sheriff?
I know and like Ricky Adams but he ain't never been a cop before. He's pretty good as a judge and I'd vote for him again as judge but not for sheriff.
I know Fayard because he just worked a case with my uncle. He did a good job and was fair. Seen him on the TV with that missing woman north of the Kiln. They arrested her killer pretty quick too.
Taylor was the constable for awhile but he quit that job. What's he doing now?

Ricky is working on his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration I believe, that, combined with his experience with law enforcement as judge makes him a decent candidate for sheriff in my book. Fayard has the experience but I think he may lack the name recognition that it takes in this county to get elected to any office. Ernest Taylor is currently an investigator for the state attorney generals office and has as much or more LE experience as Fayard but I think he's in the same boat as Fayard in the name recognition area. I know I'd for any of them over the current administration and I'd probably vote for a brain damaged chicken before I'd vote for Billy Wayne Ladner for sheriff.

I vote for BOZO the clown for sheriff. He's currently a rocket scientist at stennis and would make a great sheriff. Anything is better then these backwood doorknobs we got now.

I agree with you there. Nothing against Adams but our current sheriff looked like a good canidate on paper too. I'm just a little leary of someone with no actual expierence again. And again you were correct about the name thing. I hate that this county will elect someone just because he is a good old boy and they know him insted of doing some research. Someone posted earlier something about a debate. That sounds like a good idea but then again this is Hancock county, so you just never can tell.
