When it's your time to go it makes no difference where, when, or how, it's going to happen! It was just this woman's allotted time to depart this ole' world ! At least she went out in a blaze of glory! She received front page news coverage all over this nation and apparently didn't suffer at all, death being instantanious. My condolenses to those loved ones left behind..

That really is crazy -- I am sorry that her family had to lose her that way right in front of their eyes. But I believe at some point they will be comforted that she didn't suffer at all and that she MUST have been having a wonderful time with her family on the water.

Further proof that you never know how you're going to die.

Can't remember when, but it was in Kansas City on a major highway during or after a storm consisting of a snowy-icy mix. This tractor-trailer was carrying sides of beef and jack-knifed while going over a bridge that spans another major highway. Overpasses, by-the-way, are notorius for very slick pavement. The trailer portion flipped over and large sides of frozen beef escaped and were flung outwards; some making it over the side of the bridge. A man passing under this bridge was killed instantly when one of them landed on his windshield. True story.
