She just keeps one step in front of the law. Her operation is not licensed because she can not get a license. She has no idea how to care for animals. She uses foster family’s to get around license issues. She is a scam. The law will catch up to you.

That dog is lucky to have you. Ironic how you rescued a pooch from a "rescue" operation.

So the authorities, investigators and mentioned women in TWO STATES all aligned themselves and posed this whole scenario? Yeah, sure.

I will have you know that she is at it again under the same name "Cats meow dogs bark". The house with the 53 cats in filth has now been cleaned up. She is just in a different location.

A hoarder that shouldn't be allowed to be involved in any type of animal welfare.

Who knows, she may be coming to a state near you soon!

I am glad they caught this lady and everyone that does things like this is not helping the animals they are makeing a mess for people like me who try to help animals. It makes me sick to my stomach to think someone could leave animals in the condition this lady did. She should have been left in the same condition so she could feel the stress and heartache these animals had to go through.

Correction, I worked WITH her..for a very short time... and further to my above post, i have already emailed her to let her know that I wish to remove myself from her organization and was as nice as I could be, and now she is callng me leaving me threatening messages! She's crazy! Shes in MN and Im in CA...what does she think she can do to me. I've done nothing wrong! I tried to help her out and when she became a control freak, calling me at all hours of the night I decided enough was enough...if she wants a fight, she'll get a fight! I will call Animal control on her azz and she will be sorry she ever messed with me!

The media DID portray everything accurately. Geena you obviously fell for her sob story. She is a liar, a backstabber and it is a fact that she has abandoned animals with their fosters, and we have it on good authority that she has euthanized perfectly healthy adult animals in order to make room for more highly adoptable ones. She is BAD news in the rescue community. I have met her myself and have nothing whatsoever good to say about her.

First and foremost I am going to say that when I first heard of Jen, I too was prejudiced against her based on information I had read online. Then I realized after meeting her numerous times and speaking with other people involved in rescue, Jen was railroaded.

I have worked with Jen now for over 4 years. I will continue to do so.

As to the charges- in the MN rescue community you will see very quickly that Animal Humane Society has a witchhunt out for small rescues and shelters. They feel that they are the only organization worthy of working with animals, which is preposterous considering they slaughter more than 40% of all animals they take in. AHS investigators had NO business crossing state lines to "investigate" anything. Keith Streff has jurisdiction in Stearns Co MN only, Wade Hanson has jurisdiction in Hennepin CO MN only. These 2 meatheads like to muscle their way in and frighten people into giving up their animals, when in reality they have no legal right to do so. They terrorize and harass rescue groups AND breeders alike.

I have been to Jen's home. It is neat and clean. I have seen her dogs. They are neat and clean and fully vetted. Jen has never in my opinion acted in any way other than honorable and in the best interest of the animals she works with.

As for spending money on sports tickets- I go to the movies about once a week. It costs me about 25.00 a week for my entertainment. Thats 1200.00 a year. I do rescue work, and ask for donations via our 501. By your standards should I forgo going to the movies once a week and donate every penny I have to my rescue? Why can't a person go do something they like? Do you donate every penny of your paycheck to charity and live off nothing? If not, then don't criticize anyone for doing something FUN once in a while. If you knew how much caretaker fatigue there is in animal rescue you'd understand why we need outlets for recreation too.

Anyone is free to email me if you have further questions or whatnot. My email is goldensummerbreeze

Just called this woman with the agency NOT knowing what the story was with this "rescue agency". WHAT a PSYCHO. I called just to see if an animal had been adopted she was very short and angry in her voice. I asked if she rec'd my VM regarding a dog, she said "well gues what i havent gotten to my emails yet so i dont have to call you back"

She then demanded to know if I had another dog which wasnt in the Ad and I told her no she then said we could not see him because she wanted him to have another dog and proceeded to rant so I just hung up.

NEVER AGAIN no wonder people dont go through resuce agency's and buy pets from breeders.

Jen is pulling dogs from out of state shelters now.
I wonder if anyone is keeping an eye on what's happening to these dogs.

I worked for this insane woman, and I can tell you that everything people are saying on here is 100% true. She honestly needs to be committed. There was no conspiracy against her at the animals shelter that was closed down. I worked there. The only reason she took it over was that she had run out of room hoarding animals at her own home. The shelter existed for the stray and surrender animals of the local community. She used it to house "her" animals, which were brought in from out of state. She had no ability mentally to put the health and welfare of the animals first, instead of her own hoarding tendencies, which resulted in over crowding, unsanitary conditions and rampant disease. I saw this with my own eyes, it is not a conspiracy. The employees tried in vain to care for the animals, but there were just too many. This woman has no business working with animals and is in desperate need of mental health treatment. Do the animals a favor, and DO NOT do business with this woman.

Our rescue was asked by other local rescues to step up to help 6 dogs that were urgent. Other local rescues were pulling from this same place and we got together to help each other out! Yes,we networked together to help save dogs. Only 4 dogs came up to Minnesota into our rescue as 2 of them were adopted by their fostering Mom... The other 4 have since been adopted into loving homes.

I volunteered for her in 2011, her house is nasty, it's dirty and smells to high heaven. I think she truly cares for the animals but she's in over her head and is so hard to deal with that she can't get any help because she's not, to be polite, a nice person.
just wondering

I noticed today on her rescue's facebook (Cats Meow Dogs Bark Rescue) page she posted: "Could you tell them that we are a 501C3 nonprofit who is in need of a generous donation and for you we would be very grateful! Please help us help them! Thank you!" clipped from a post about a chihuahua that came into her rescue that she was asking donations for (from both celebs but also the general public). I was just wondering if anyone knows if she is, in fact, a 501c3? I have been trying to find them listed, but have had no luck.

Yes CMDBR is a 501c3, my donations to them are deducted from my taxes each year.:) I saw that post too... I think it was a joke. Several rescues that I work with have a HUGE need for donations ie: getting a donation from a multi-millionbillionaire ... would help A LOT of animals!!
