I played on that 1997 team with Brewington. He was a great option quarterback. And we had alot of depth in the backfield, with Brewington, Allsion, Bean, Tree, and a number of great younger players. In addition, our offensive line was great.
On the other hand I watched Ty Fields play as well. He was a great athlete as well at Upperman. He did pass the ball alot more than Brewington and may have completed alot more if he would have had some help from his receivers. So when it boils down to it if I'm starting a team and have to choose between the two a QB, I have to go with Brewington he could make plays with his feet and I saw him make some key plays with his arm as well. Just my opinion, but there has not been a better team at Upperman since that 1997 year and Brewington had alot to do with their success.Until they get the right coaching staff together I do not think they will have a chance.
