Regardless if there's something across the road or not - it's all private property. Period. Find somewhere else to run your trucks. Land owners got sick of the noise, property damage, people shooting guns at all hours, and *unreal* amounts of litter & trash that was being left down there like it was a land fill.

I know some of it belongs to a teacher at Baxter Elementary. She & I talked about the problems with keeping people out of there. I'm not sure who owns the rest of it, but it's all public record at the deed/tax office at the courthouse. I used to ride with an off road club that went down there all the time and swore up & down that it was "public land". Not so. All of it is privately owned. I haven't been back since & apologized to the teacher for tresspassing. I don't know if I was ever on her land specificaly, but it doesn't really matter. If it were my land, I'd have it posted and arrest every person the ignored the no-tresspassing signs.

A creek is a state right a way and people have a right to be there even if the legal land owner doesn't like it however the rode going down to shit creek is private and if posted people can get ticketed. I have many memories at shit creek. I never caused trouble damage or litter. It's not like used to be the last time I was around there a Chain and it was posted private. I respect that and haven't been back.

A creek stream or any other waterway does not give anyone rights to trespass. Even though they are called waters of the state.Which waters of the state has to do with regulations on the runoff and how its handled. Doesn't mean anyone can go there. If you are crossing private property to get there. You are trespassing. If you don't own a piece of property and your on it. More than likely your trespassing.

I did indeed state that if the road to the creek is private then they could get ticketed. If its stated owned then people can be there the catch is they can not damage the area which 4wheeling, bonfires and litter all do. Im not saying its right I was just correcting that if something is state owned its not illegal if the property is being cared for. Either way I know at one point it was in fact blocked off and I know of two separate occasions that people came out with tires full of nails and barb wire. Its obvious someone really wanted people to stop coming down there. Its best to leave respectfully and find a better place to chill and hangout. It is a shame people didn't take Care of it because it is quiet beautiful especially back at the waterfall despite being named shit creek

Then they need to do it on their own property, not on property that is PRIVATELY owned. This area is not a public park,or a mud bogging area.

Maybe you would like to provide them a place to have fun at your expense.
