Fire Breaks Out In Downtown Baxter

NewsChannel 5 has breaking news Friday morning out of Putnam County . A fire broke out in downtown Baxter, which is just east of Cookeville . via WTVF Nashville

From what I've seen, Gail's Wagon Wheel is relocating to the old Homestead on 70...She did good business, but when the place burnt she tried blaming the Baxter fire department even though they couldn't save it once they got to it. She better hope it doesn't burn again or they might not be so eager to help her.

The old Wagon Wheel was set on fire. The 2 people that set it on fire are now in jail. And she did have a beer permit, that's why it was a bar. How could you "just want it to be a bar" and sell beer right in front of the police department if you didn't have a permit. Come on people, let's think before we type...

I had a friend who lived behind it and while it was still open me and her husband went to go check it out.

Small, the feeling i got was that someone could break a beer bottle at any time and cut someone.
Kinda scary.

Had three beers on tap, not too expensive for a pitcher considering it was baxter and they COULD have charged more.

I knew Gail though, she is a nice lady.
She's known me since i was knee high to a pigs eye. LOL

One of the lunatics that started that fire was a chick named Tabitha. She's got blonde hair and tattoos. Her boyfriend helped her too. Can't remember his name.

Tabitha was pissed off about something Gail (or a bartender there did) and she decided to torch the place. I think Tattoo Tabitha is in prison or jail for that and a ton of other shit now too.

she is going to nashville TPFW. a relative of mine is there and the staff was talking about some rough and tuff woman coming in a few weeks and they were talking about this Tabitha chick. They were saying that she burnt a whole city to the ground.

Baxter is a WHOLE LOT better with an empty HOLE where the Wagon Wheel used to be. Nothing but a rat trap!
Eventually someone will build something new & nice there in it's place.
