I bet some of you loose sleep at night thinking up something negative to say about covenant or Jimmy. Why don't you all give it a rest and start getting serious about the lost. If some of you spent half of the time witnessing to the lost that you do trashing covenant and Jimmy, all the churches would be full. Satan is so mad that God's divine plan is going to come to fruition that he can't stand it. Quit falling in the trap that satan has set for you. Let's all unite as the true Body of Christ and take this world like a raging flood winning lost souls for Jesus!!!!!!!

not sure what part of the first hand knowledge you didn't get..but i myself am not speaking about something i have heard..wow you mean you actually saw and heard him do some apologizing,he really has grown some if you have..yes,i do agree that the holy spirit can convict and change ones heart,if not we would all be lost and on the road to hell..however i assure you that the conviction from God didn't cause most to leave.the pastors unfaltering need to be right did..i to call things as i see them and right is right wether your on it's side or not. you are now in the position many of us have been over the years, that of protecting your leader and beleiving in him..i only pray that you never have to disagree or call either of them out on something because friend if you do you'll find out quick that your roll is to submit wether your right or wrong..when that happens let me know how that apologizing with a sincere heart goes..i understand how it bothers you when folks speak negativly about some one you care about because we experience alot of that ourselves and mostly from the covenant..want to hear it for your self go and ask the pastor why each person left..you'll get to hear quite a bit of bitterness i'm sure..and no i wasn't ousted out of a power position as there are none to be ousted from as your pastor holds all the reins..i do wonder how many of those leadership positions were taken from others not many as i know most laid them down and got out so they could move on with their christian walk and not be abused and used by the cheif!!i will not continue to go back and forth with you just wanted folks to know some of the truths that i have first hand knowledge of..when you find yourself in the boat without a paddle and you will one day when you disagree give me a call and i want talk turkey but i will pray with you and sympathize..yes God can and will weed things out and i just praise him for doing so..good day and good luck.

I don't understand. Why don't they just vote him out if they are not happy with him? That's what every other church would do.
no one can vote him out. he holds all power there. imagine that

Well, I can see that you have your minds made up. You can not resist continuing to be satan's mouth piece. Regardless of what you say you know was said or done on Jimmy's end, the fact that you are talking about God's annointed or anybody else negatively behind there back is sin. Why don't you quit hiding behind this forum and lets all meet face to face. I am sure we can schedule a date and get to the bottom of your bitterness.
And by the way, My wife and I have called him out on stuff many times and he did apologize and do what is right. I serve Jesus not Jimmy and covenant. My relationship with him is what it should be, I respect him as my pastor and a man called by God, not by man. But if he is wrong and out of align, I will let him know in a Godly manner(which includes much prayer), surly not talking trash behind his back. The fact that you and the others think you are shinning light on the darkness by running your mouths behind the scenes and all over town is quiet disturbing. God does not need a mouthpiece. If something was or is done wrong, God is capable of shouting it from the mountain tops and handling it. There is to many so called "godly mouthes" spewing hate and discontentment.
I believe I have wasted enough of God's time here on this gossip train, it's time to get off and let you all get back to enjoying being miserable and bitter. The fact is as much as you all hate it, Jimmy and covenant are still standing. He has responded, according to the Bible, the appropriate way to all of the allegations against him. God fights his battles, all Jimmy has to do is stand. I have to admit though, Jimmy is more of a Godly man than I am. Some of the stuff that has been said about him, his family, and the church, well if it would have been said about me, I would have been at somebody's door steps the next morning(not saying that would be right, just being truthful). I thank God for having a Pastor that leads by example.
Now let me speak directly to the spirit of bitterness and hate that has taken over your minds. I rebuke the in the name of Jesus, leave these people alone and do not return, you have no place in their lives. Holy Spirit return joy and gladness to their hearts. Let them build up not tear down. May the fire of your spirit cleanse all of us from unrightiousness(me included)and may we all lay down our differences and live for seeing the lost saved, and the captives set free in Jesus precious name AMEN.
Remember I am here in Baxley now if any of you would like to meet face to face for prayer. If I am not at the EMA or the church I am at home in Oakridge just drop on by. If you need directions ask the gossip mill around town, I am sure they got my lat and long down, ha ha! Just in case they don't here is my e-mail w4wdt@yahoo.com

Why don't you come down and find out how I am leading the youth. Or why don't you ask some of them yourself. You will first learn that christians are to uplift each other not tear each other down, no matter what. That is one of the first things they are taught. Remember, I am not Jimmy and I may not respond to your attacks the same way he has, so watch your mouth. It may overload what you are willing to expose of yourself. Do not think you are really anonymous here. I am not afraid to call any of you out. So, I am praying for humbleness and patience. The difference between me and you is when I have seen something amis, I have prayed about it and let God handle it instead of spreading gossip. Boy, I guess I have given you and the rest of the crew new life in your world of gossip, rumors, and plain out lies. Thank God for the Holy Spirit reminding me that he will fight my battles too, so if you want to run your mouths go right ahead. I just hope you are fireproof, or at least your head is, from all the coals that is comming your way.

Firstly, my family and I used to attend this church and no, the leaders are not perfect. Have they said things about people? Yes they have. Have they used people in the past? Indeed. But have you and I done the same things? Absolutely; if we are all honest with ourselves, we would say that we have done these things and probably worse. The problem comes when we as lay persons hold our church leadership to God's standards, but then compare ourselves to other people rather than God; the thing is, if we are going to hold our leaders to God's standards, then we should hold ourselves to the same standards and if we did do so, then we would be on our face to the point that we would not have time to be on this forum criticizing others. In my tenure at Covenant, I never saw any kind of moral failure from leadership. I still visit Covenant on occasion and I still consider it my home church. I still love the people there and I still love the freedom that prevails in their services. At some point, I believe that God will bring us back there but until that time, I will continue to pray for the church and the leadership there.

Now for the ones who obviously have ought against the leaders there, the bible says that when we have ought against our brother, then we should have dialog with them; if this does not work, bring in elders to mediate. My humble solution for this thread is for you guys that have been hurt to go meet with the pastor and have discussion. I am confident that the pastor will resolve the issue promptly and I am sure that he will be apologetic regardless if he was in the wrong or not. You know, God works in mysterious ways and who knows, he might even use this forum to bring a restoration revivial to the church.

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Cancer

Happy New Year, Cancer! Are you ready to put those resolutions into place? Not quite?! Crustaceans are never quite sure just how much they can get away with and where to draw the line. You have a flair for the dramatic and when you're the narrator, your exploits become deeds that would make a knight proud. Your fans know you're a hero, whatever history might prove. Audacity impresses most people but if you go to far you could cause offence.
