Thanks, I do recall that now. With time not being connected to the person involved it had left my memory. It was brought up in a conversation about haunted houses and rather or not Spells was haunted by the young ladies ghost. No disrespect to Ms Rowell what so ever. It was just mere conversation. I have never heard of the house being haunted. Just deserted. It could be a beautiful home. I wonder why its never found a owner to call it home.

Is the Ricky D. Rowell tn the Ledger a few weeks ago Randy Rowells brother? If it is I believe he ran the car wash years ago. Him and Randy were really nice folks,I have'nt seen them in years.

The reason it nevers finds a home is because they want like 400k for it and then it would cost you another 400k to repair it:)

I have been told that it has broken several people and it felling down now. The main staircase isn't even safe on one side- its rotted. What a shame it is a beautiful ol' Southern Belle.

The house's foundation is defective and the house has been sinking every since it was built. Glenn Spell wasted tons of money on building and then trying to fix that house

I believe that a local state representative used that house as an office/home. I hear that it is was really nice but in much needed repair.

Yeah, Roger Byrd used to use it when he was our Representative. He has since sold it and it has changed hands at least twice more I think. I love that house and wish it was fixed up. The kids in town break in through a bottom floor window because of the ghost story I think- thats what I was always told.

Next time you go by look up at the dormer area in the front of the house, almost the attic area and you will see the windows are open allowing rain to come in. I should say at least this was two months ago. Maybe Whitfield Realty closed the windows because I think they have their sign on the front lawn now. All that area has rotten wood and imagine the mold growing inside.

Good, glad it was a rumor no child needs to see that especially if it is your parent.
