I have always thought I wanted to live in Battlefield until my daughter moved there. The city is a mess. My daughter is constantly being harrased by the city government. She is a great person and doesn't deserve to be treated like a criminal. I would never move to Battlefield now.

I can't say I've had the same experience with the city, it could use some work on some of the roads and the battlefield realators as you come into town is a big eyesore.

Gotta agree with confused. Battlefield would be the perfect town to live in if it weren't for the city officials and employees.

Unfortunately I feel the same way as "confused". We just sold our house for the same reason. We live near a city owned area and also in the same neighborhood as the mayor and the employees are constantly harrassing us and apparently watching us all the time, which I find really strange and creepy. We get letters constantly with complaints. We got a letter for dumping grass clippings in our own ditch, only problem is that when we mow we don't even collect grass clippings. The list could go on and on and on. I would suggest if you are looking to move to this area, try Republic or Springfield. We really like Republic and will be moving there. I hope Battlefield will wise up and elect new officials.

I can relate to this. I grew up in Battlefield. This was 10+ years ago though, not sure if its the same people. Having many family friends around there from the time, we heard the same things about the pitiful immaturity of the people working for the city, two of our neighbors we knew lived there 30+ years. I always heard it was the same family causing problems, and I don't mind using names either, it was the Sparkman family. I knew their son, he was my age. They also had relatives, I am unsure if they were all named Sparkman. I know some of the local businesses were also bothered by these people.
