Religion is crap no matter whose religion it is, but i understand why they would do it, Hussein O is a muslim and they are the scourge of the world, responsible for more MODERN day deaths than all the other religion's combined. I know of no other religion that encourages people to strap bombs on themselves and walk into a market, a diner, a bus or a subway and blow themselves to bits..all religions should be done away with...period.

It is amazing to me how quickly people are ready to jump on the racist bandwagon. The effigy of Obama, was a political joke, not an ugly racist act. I actually thought it was pretty clever. To make a statement about the lack of ability in leadership that one of the presidential candidates has….was very creative. Tying a cardboard cutout of Obama with a sign that he would have been an “Act Six Reject” was genius. If you actually THINK about it….but then I don’t expect many journalists to do that these days. It is more fun to wave the racist banner than it is to get to the bottom of the story. Act Six Scholarships are given out to students who demonstrate leadership potential…not just minorities, but all students (some perhaps, because of financial struggles). But the Act Six Reject referenced the fact that whoever was wearing the sign, did NOT have the leadership potential to LEAD…therefore, they were a reject for the scholarship program. DUH! IT had nothing to do with race. It was a political statement about the lack of leadership potential in OBAMA. HELLO!! And fishing line was PURPOSELY used and NOT rope (they had rope) so people would not confuse the issue of race…this was NOT a racial attack, but a political JOKE! And all of the media (LIBERALS) jumped at the chance to turn this into a racial attack to bring more attention to Obama. What a sad state of affairs. Those Journalist make me sick.

You must be joking - a political stunt...a joke? This was a racist statement about affirmative action.

Palin has been investigated by the Secret Service because of the shouts to "Kill Obama" heard in her rally. I highly doubt THEY consider it a political joke.

Only a pitchfork Klanner would call this a joke. Your white sheets must be at the dry cleaners.

I know for a FACT it was NOT a racist statement OR a slam against afirmative actions, because I spoke with the people who did it. It was a spur of the moment JOKE meant to express their opinions about Obama's ability to lead. The only reason they used the Act Six REject reference was because of what I stated before...it is a scholarship program for students who demonstrate LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL. So stay on your racist bandwagon. It is because of people like you, who continue to further the CAUSE of racism....shouting racist and affirmative action....that cause the MOST trouble in this country. Calling something racist, when it was NOT, is the problem.

Yea - you spoke to them - sure you did. They were suspended, as they should be. I guess the college administration didn't think it was a joke either. I'll bet the parents of these kids are just beaming with pride.

Actually, the problem is with people who deny racism exists.

""It shows a lack of appreciation by whites of the African-American experience which has been marked by extensive lynching," Rev. Dr. Hayden said."

It is Racist in every sense of the word.

If this really were a political statement, why not protest like others do? Hold a sign up and state your feelings for all to know.

Coward racists do this in the dark of night.

I know one of them personally....and I heard the whole story....and they were not all suspended completely. THis was meant to be a joke....a political statement against Obama and his ability to lead this country....THAT IS IT. PEriod. They were not cowards, but kids....at the spur of the moment...not planned..not thought out....just walking through a store late one night...seeing the cutout...laughing about...what if we....and very creatively making a strong political statement about the lack of leadership potential. NOw if the rest of the world and racist minority people and LIBERALS want to make there college prank into a HUGE racist deal...then you are doing so out of hate and ignorance....because I KNOW for a FACT, that none of these kids are racist...AT ALL. Period. They just don't want Obama for president. Does it have to do with the fact that he is HALF Black? OF course not. He is a democrat and they are republican. What ticks me off the most is that just because Obama is bi-racial, now he is untouchable...no one can anything about him or his ability or it is made out to be a racist comment.

Perhaps Abel Meeropol would not have recognized strange fruit if fishing line would have been used.
Then why hang it.

You must be a republican, most educated people know that that you should be using "mentally challenged". As in, John McCain and Sara Palin are mentally challenged. Man, you people are stupid.

Why not let us know who you are? Jane Doe from Boise.

This is not a question of leadership, this is anti-Christian theology, philosophy and morals!
