As far as this supposed experimentation goes, you are wrong. I did this purely for entertainment purposes and I have laughed all afternoon with my coworkers, who also enjoyed the ridiculous conservative/liberal rants on this forum.
It's not been time wasted. A bunch of people go around making the same idiotic PC assertions you made. Pointing out the flaws in those assertions serves the public interest.

I cannot believe that someone from South Africa is complaining about "language" in this article. What difference does it make. We, here in AMERICA have been discussing, writing, reading about early American battles for centuries now and the words "red men" and "white men" were the words used by the settlers to this area and this country. Climb down - everyone isn't as academic as you obviously think you are.

"We see the battlefield as hallowed ground where 196 years ago brave men, red and white, fought and died courageously," Nail said.
It is werid that Nail is using rather archaic and un-academic racial classifications for describing the Euro-Americans and Native Americans who fought in this battle.
I wish everything in the complexity of life could be simplified to "red and white"
More so, I think it will be interesting to discover if this was some stupid prank by local teenagers or actually an act of resistance from Native Americans?

So anyone that makes a PC assertion is idiotic? Do you just sit around on your computer all day long or do you contribute anything to society at all?

Well, prepare to lose money because I am completely independent and believe that there is no difference between one rich white man and the next. You truly are a sad person who is stuck in a liberal/conservative polarity.
You're a liar, and you are backing up because your worthless arguements dont hold water. But Giving you the benefit of the doubt, while you are out this evening with those many co-working party animals, get good and drunk and take a long late night stroll down a very dangerous Indy alley will ya?

When you question someone's intelligence, you might want to run a spell check first.

Aside from that, given everything I cited in my original post, you really think that vandalism to a slab of rock is the reason the country is going down the drain? Not our sinking dollar? Not Iraq? Not the million other things that actually matter?

You win. I have been looking for the person who can take any random discussion/argument and apply it to the President/War on Terror. Your patient watching for the perfect opportunity to threadjack and put in your comments about the President/War on Terror in a COMPLETELY unrelated thread is a work of beauty. Your never ceasing desire to let people know what you see to be really important no matter what the discussion is unmatched. You are a Great American and an Example to Us All.**golf clap**
Excuse me, have you seen the level of anger here on this thread? It is totally out of proportion to any incident of vandalism. Exhile?Death? Torture? Clearly there is a lot of rage in America these days, I was only hoping to point out that there are legitimate targets of that rage, and this is not it.

I am A frequent visitor to the park and look foward to seeing an area rich in history and it deeply saddens me that this type of senseless vandalism is occuring. A couple of years ago a Historic Bridge was burned down at Bridgeton Indiana and now this. Unfortunately this is a new era in our history and it scares me of how little respect the next generation has for such vidal Historic sites.

Oh how I love this comment. Africa, under current academic theory is thought of as the cradle of mankind; as much of the fossil record suggests humans have developed here in the Southern and Eastern half of the continent. Humans then traveled into what are now Europe, Austral-Oceana, and the Americas in a very gradual linear process.
Current academic theory along with your definition of what constitutes ‘indigenousness’ are quite conflicting in the sense that we would consider most Asians, Polynesians, Melanesians, Australian Aborigines, Europeans, and many of the ethnic groups in the Americas as foreigners. Considering humans transcended upon the Americas around 10,000 years ago and have inhabited the continent since that time, their very presence would in-fact be considered ‘indigenous’.
Whether you like it or not, the ethnic groups of pre-1492 America were here first and *should* be compensated for the atrocities they suffered.

In ancient Rome someone who defaced a monument like that would be sent to the arena, the galleys or hung on a cross. Hence the incredible lasting ability of Roman monuments.

I think we need to adopt some of the Roman ideas.
