Alcoa trains managers to run plants in case of strike

That will be interesting to see a few managers doing the work of 9,000 workers. They might learn a little something about how tough a job it is, too. Give the people their health insurance, for heaven's sake.

My Dad's retiring from Alcoa on May 31st. No worries about the strike anymore for him!! It'll be interesting to see how well they treat him during retirement though. Get out while the gettings good!

Best of luck to your dad for a long and happy retirment. My FIL is retired from Alcoa and he is doing ok.

This is what unions do to business, Unions = a thousand small cuts to a thriving business until it has bled all of it's livelihood out, Then the same unions wonder why they are jobless.The unions even hurt the poor people out there collecting cans to make a meager living on the streets , Or the scrap yard.More small business dead because of bloodsucking unions.

I thank the unions are the best thing for the working man to stand up to some of these big co. that try to work the little man to they die with as little pay and insurance that cost a leg and a arm and the worker ends up paying most of the cost, the unions gives the worker a voice.

Yeah, unions are the best thing for the working man. Until that working man becomes unemployed after the plant folds up.
It will happen sooner or later.
