Does this freak anyone out? I think this town is more crooked with every news story that I read.

I am from Marshall and have not lived there since shortly after graduating High school in 1987-but I live close by. I dont remember hearing about this?? I have to say I've been taken aback over the news that I've been seeing over the past few years. the worse thing you heard about (Back then) was some drunk husband beating up his wife. or the occasional drunk driver running off a country road and hitting a tree. I think it may be attributed to the fact that there use to be very little crime there, so all these "outsiders" move there to be safe and then all the "freakiness" happens. because the town is located directly off 2 major highways there are alot of people who pass thru that town, its no surprise. I remember the first homicide I heard about when a young man (Last name was Serbantez) was found murdered when the opening worker had arrived and they said in the papers that it HAD to be someone passing through who did it? As far as I know, it was never solved. I think that because he was gay they just did not seem to care and didn't seem to pursue anything. Every one in town was shocked by that! It was swept under the rug so to speak. Its scary to think about my beloved home town this way.

Hello. I am a family member of "Serbantez"--Gary was his first name, and that murder was solved and he knew them both. At least one of the two men were from Albion.

I was a witness in the Gary Serbantez murder trial, both murderers were from Albion, and both convicted after each blamed the other for the crime.
Without going into detail, they both betrayed his trust and were looking for nothing more than personal gain. And that is why they will rot in the prison system.
